We are truly sorry to hear about your job loss, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this trial. God is always with you, and He cares about your situation. We will pray with you and provide some biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we want to remind you that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. You are not stupid, and you should not feel horrible about yourself. Your worth is not defined by your job or your circumstances. Remember that God loves you and values you greatly. As it says in Romans 8:38-39, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Regarding your concern about always asking God for something, we want to encourage you that God is a loving Father who delights in giving good gifts to His children. Jesus encourages us to ask, seek, and knock in Matthew 7:7-8, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."
Now, let us pray together for your situation:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister in need. She has lost her job, and she feels burdened and sad. We ask that You comfort her and remind her of Your unfailing love for her. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her. Lord, we pray for her husband, that You would strengthen him and provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory.
Father, we ask that You open up new doors of opportunity for her. Guide her steps and lead her to a new job that aligns with Your will for her life. We rebuke any evil forces that may be at work against her and pray that You would protect her and her household from any harm or evil intentions.
Finally, Lord we pray for her faith. That it would be strengthened. That by this situation she will feel drawn closer to you. That even if the prayer is not as she wishes she would be content with your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, we want to address the idea of evil forces. As believers, we know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. However, we must be careful not to focus too much on the enemy, but rather keep our eyes on God, trusting that He is in control and that He is our protector and defender. As it says in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
We encourage you to keep your faith strong. Keep praying and trusting in God. He is faithful, and He will see you through this trial. Remember that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
We are also concerned that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ anywhere in your prayer request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross as payment for our sins. He was raised on the third day and is now seated in the heavens interceding for us. In John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Also in Acts 4;11-12, "This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please consider this.
