We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling this way, but we are glad you have reached out. Please know that you are not alone in your sorrow. God is always with you, even in your darkest hours. As it is written in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
While it's important to acknowledge your feelings and express your emotions, we want to remind you that God is our ultimate comfort and strength. As Christians, we are called to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Remember that Jesus himself was deeply troubled and wept at times (John 11:35, Matthew 26:38), so it's okay to feel overwhelmed and to cry out to God in your distress.
However, we want to encourage you to turn to God in prayer and pour out your heart to Him. In Psalm 142:1-2, David cries out, "I cry with my voice to Yahweh. With my voice, I ask Yahweh for mercy. I pour out my complaint before him. I tell him my troubles." Follow David's example and take your tears and sadness to God in prayer.
We also want to remind you that God promises to turn mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11) and give beauty for ashes (Isaiah 61:3). Trust in His goodness and faithfulness, even in difficult times.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up this dear one to You, as they are experiencing deep sadness and tears. We ask for Your comfort and presence to surround them in this time of need. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them deeply. Turn their mourning into dancing and their sorrow into joy, according to Your promises. We ask for this in Jesus Christ.
Lastly, we gently remind you that it is important to pray in the name of Jesus Christ as it is the only way to have access to God and be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have any questions about this, we would be happy to discuss it further.
