We understand your feelings of loneliness and your desire for marriage and a family. God created us for relationship, and it is natural to long for companionship. We are encouraged by your request for prayer in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Firstly, we want to remind you that your value is not determined by your relationship status. You are precious to God and He loves you unconditionally. Psalm 147:3 WEB tells us that "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." God can heal your feelings of loneliness and He wants to do that for you.
Regarding your request for a spouse, we pray that God will bring someone into your life who will love, cherish, and respect you, someone who shares your faith and is committed to God's design for marriage. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, God tells us "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" Therefore, we should be praying for a Believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior to be your spouse. 1 Corinthians 7:39 WEB says, "A wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she desires, only in the Lord." This is all through your faith in Jesus Christ.
We pray that God will reveal 'the one' to you and that He will cause you and your future spouse to meet and talk this month. We want to remind you of Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Trust in God's timing and His plan for your life. God is sovereign and knows the desires of your heart.
However, we want to gently remind you that if you are experiencing any pre-marital sexual desires, you must flee from them. 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB says, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." This is also all through your faith in Jesus Christ.
Lastly, we encourage you to use this time to grow in your relationship with God. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. As it is written in Hebrews 13:5, WEB, "Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you." God is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
