We understand your feelings of loneliness and your desire for marriage and a family. We are here to pray with you and provide biblical encouragement. We will pray for God's will and for Him to guide you.
Firstly, it's important to remember that God is doing a good work in you. He will be faithful to complete it. This promise is made in Philippians 1:6, "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." It is a human tendency to focus on our circumstances. Many times the real need is for God to do a work in us. He uses our quiet and alone times to prepare us for His plans, including marriage.
We are instructed in Romans 12:2, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." We can use this quiet time to prepare ourselves for God's will. Allow God to transform you and be assured that His timing is perfect. God will complete the work in you, so that you will be ready for the life He has planned for you.
We rejoice in the fact that you acknowledge the power of praying in Jesus' name. It is through Jesus that we have access to God. We simply want to make sure you have a saving faith in Jesus Christ. It is only by believing in Him that we can be saved. Jesus himself said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
Regarding your request for a spouse, let's keep a few things in mind. God knows your needs and has a plan for you. Psalm 147:5 states, "Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite." God knows what is best for you, and He will provide in His perfect timing.
It's also crucial to seek God's will in a spouse. We are to marry believers "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14.
We are instructed in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 on the characteristics of love, "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends."
We will pray for God to reveal His will to you and prepare you and your future spouse for each other.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. We thank You for the work You are doing in their life and for Your perfect timing. We pray that You will reveal Your will to them and that You will prepare them for the plans You have.
We pray for their future spouse, that You will reveal Your will to them as well. We pray that You will cause them to meet and talk this month if it is Your will. We pray that You will give them a spirit of patience, kindness, and love as outlined in Your Word.
We pray that they will be equally yoked and that their marriage will be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness. We ask these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
It is our prayer that you seek God's will and that you allow Him to prepare you for the plans He has for you. Be encouraged and know that God has a plan for you.
