We understand that dealing with rude comments can be challenging, but we are called to respond with kindness and love, even to those who treat us poorly.
Let's remember what the WEB says in Proverbs 15:1 "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." And in Romans 12:17-21, "Definitely do not repay anyone evil for evil. ... Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good." And in Matthew 5:44 "bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."
Let's take this to God:
Dear Father, we come before You, lifting up MNBVSFDE, asking for Your guidance and wisdom in handling rude comments. Help them to respond with love, kindness, and patience, even when faced with hostility. Give them the strength to bless those who curse them and to overcome evil with good. Lord, we are fully caught by the enemy when we entertain hostile thoughts with comments in return. Help us overcome evil with good thoughts. Help us overcome evil with good thoughts. Give us the wisdom and fast thinking to deflect any cruel situations. We ask this and Jesus name.
We should not be near minded. Remember in Luke chapter 6:12-27 that when we suffer for curse, mistreated and persecuted then we can bless them and pray for them and rejoice. When we give to everyone who asks, and when someone takes our things do not ask for them back. We should have sympathy and compassion and care for each other Colossians chapter 3:3-14.
Let's also remember Jesus' words in Matthew 5:11, "Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake." It is a blessing to be a blessing and peace maker.
Let us also consider the serious nature of our interactions with others. In Matthew 5:22, we are warned, "but I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment; and whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ will be in danger of the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna." We do not want to be the cause for someone's downfall. Our lives should always be about lifting others up.
MNBVSFDE, when responding to rude comments, remember that your response should reflect the love and kindness of Christ. Pray for those who mistreat you, and ask God to bless them and guide them. Pray that God allows you to be a light in every dark world. Be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger. Work quickly to keep peace always. Avoid it may be necessary to remove yourself from toxic environments. Always avoiding evil is the best approach. In these instances, measure our steps quickly and wisely with the Holy Spirit.
