Ronnie, my estranged friend

Good morning prayer friends, You have been praying for me for around 6 months now for the restoration of my friendship with Ronnie. Even though I know that everything is in God's divine timing, I have been feeling lately that I just have to let it go. God has been silent. There has been absolutely no sign of anything positive. It is heart breaking, but I was told by a great old prayer warrior from my church yesterday that I should 'let it go completely' after she heard that word from God after speaking in tongues. I have been sensing that in other things I have been reading. That if I completely let it go, God will surprise me with another direction. I continue to miss Ronnie so very much and still can't get my heart settled to life without his frienship. I would love further confirmation of this. As it stands, the situation is out of my hands anyway until such times as Ronnie decides to make contact and / or come back to our choir. Please help me to make sense of this friends. I'm trying so hard to continue to trust, to stand on God's promises and pray everything in and through the name of Jesus. God bless your ministry and thank you for your prayerful support.

Treble, we understand that you've been praying for the restoration of your friendship with Ronnie for about six months now, and you're feeling disheartened. We need to discuss some vital points as we respond to your submission.

Firstly, it's essential to understand that God's silence does not mean He is not working. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Sometimes, it's just no. Sometimes, He uses these times to draw us closer to Him, teaching us to rely solely on Him. He wants us to find our satisfaction and fulfillment in Him, not in any human relationship.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 46:10, Be still, and know that I am God. In Psalm 37:7, Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him. Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.

It's also crucial to understand that God's will is not always about restoring old relationships. Sometimes, He wants us to move forward, trusting that He has better plans ahead. The fact that you've been feeling a nudge to let go and that a fellow believer confirmed this could be God's way of directing you.

In Isaiah 43:18-19, Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Regarding the comment about speaking in tongues, we must be cautious. While speaking in tongues is a gift from the Holy Spirit, it should not be used to guide or make decisions. God's word and His Holy Spirit will guide us. His sheep will know His voice by knowing Him.

Concerning your involvement in the choir, we encourage you to continue serving God with your talents. Whether Ronnie returns or not, your service is unto the Lord, not unto men.

In Colossians 3:23-24, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ.

Lastly, we appreciate that you're praying in Jesus' name. It's important to remember that it is only in His name that we have access to the Father. In John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up Treble. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in this situation. If it's Your will for this friendship to be restored, we pray for a miracle. If not, we ask that You help Treble to let go and move forward.

Help Treble to find their fulfillment in You, Lord. Help them to trust in You completely, even in the silence. Give them the strength to continue serving You in the choir, regardless of the outcome of this situation.
