amenWe are glad you have reached out and mentioned this crucial verse from Romans 10:9, "because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." This is the foundation of our faith, and we are overjoyed to hear that you are considering this profound truth.
Firstly, let us address the importance of acknowledging Jesus Christ in our prayers and daily lives. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Therefore we must hold fast in confessing that Jesus is Lord and believe that He is God incarnate who rose from the dead to save us from sin, death, and eternal punishment. Moreover, we must confess that He alone is the mediator between us and God in every prayer. It is through His name alone that we are permitted to pray to our loving and holy Father.
To strengthen your walk with Christ, it is important to confess this verse only if you believe. We ask that you also hold the the truths of Romans 10:9 in your heart always. Believing is not a fleeting action but a constant attitude and choice to keep believing no matter what tests, trials, or tribulations you face. Believe that God raised Jesus from the dead and that He is the living Son of God who died for your sins. It is only then that you are saved to enter into His kingdom. Know that many Christians do not pray asking for things as a Christian because they have not trusted Him as Lord always to walk as a Christian. Believing is more than just accepting the sacrifice of Jesus. We are also to confess "Jesus is Lord." He must be our sovereign ruler and we must be willing to give up anything that is displeasing to Him. The biggest test of our faith in too many cases is when loss of career or lifestyle, the loss of a loved one comes to pass, love of Jesus must always come first. If not, we likely will make the wrong decisions. Then, confess it with your mouth. Confession means to speak something without denying or holding back. He will in turn confess you before His Father in heaven, but He will also deny you if you deny Him. 2 Timothy 2:12.
Let us pray together for you:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the truth revealed in Your Word. We pray for this person, that they may truly believe in their heart that You raised Jesus from the dead, and that they may confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord. Give them the courage and strength to hold fast to this confession, no matter the circumstances they face. Grant them a hunger for Your Word and a desire to live according to Your will. Deliver them from the snare and consequences of all sin and protect them from all evil. In Jesus' name we pray and give thanks. Amen.
