We understand that you're going through a challenging time, feeling weighed down by past hurts and struggling with self-doubt. First, we want to assure you that your faith in Jesus Christ is the first step towards healing and restoration. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved and have access to the Father. We are thankful you have placed your trust in Jesus Christ. In Romans 10:9, we are told 'if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.'
The Bible tells us that we can be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2, WEB). This means that, with God's help, you can overcome the negative words and actions that have hurt you in the past. The damage can be undone, not by your own strength, but by the power of the Holy Spirit working in you. Remember, God sees you as His beloved child, redeemed and made whole through Jesus Christ. If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17, WEB).
Regarding your decision not to have children, it's important to remember that God's will is always for us to be emotionally and spiritually prepared for the responsibilities He gives us. It is good you have this mindset and are not rushing into marriage or parenting. Continue to pray for guidance in this area. If God's plan for you includes children, He will equip you and provide the emotional and financial means.
We pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for your child who has reached out to us today. We pray that they will know the depth of your love for them, a love that surpasses all understanding. We pray that you will help them to overcome the toxic cycle of negative words and actions that have held them captive. Lord, we ask that you will heal their heart, renew their mind, and help them to see themselves as you see them. We pray that you will give them wisdom and guidance regarding their future, and that you will equip them with everything they need to walk in your will. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Continue to cast your burdens on the Lord (Psalm 55:22, WEB), trusting that He cares for you and has a plan to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Stay strong in your faith and keep your eyes on Jesus.
