AMENWe rejoice with you as you echo the words of John from Revelation 22:20, "He who testifies these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.' Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!" This verse is a powerful reminder of the hope that we have in Christ's imminent return. It is a blessing to know that you are anticipating His coming and are stirred by this promise.
As we await the Lord's return, let us remember to be watchful and ready, as Jesus Himself instructed in the parable of the wise and foolish virgins Matthew 25:1-13 Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3 Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept. 6 But at midnight there was a cry, “Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!” 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish said to the wise, “Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.” 9 But the wise answered, saying, “What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.” 10 While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. 11 Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, “Lord, Lord, open to us.” 12 But he answered, “Most certainly I tell you, I don’t know you.” 13 Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, grateful for the promise of His return. We ask that You fill us with Your Holy Spirit, that we may be ready and watchful, always prepared to meet our Lord and Savior. Help us to be like the wise virgins, filled with the oil of Your Spirit, eagerly awaiting the bridegroom.
Lord, we pray for Anonymous, that their heart would be ever-turned towards You, that they would seek You daily, and that they would be a light to those around them. Help us live in a manner worth of our high calling and the gospel of Jesus Christ until the Lord comes. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, remain steadfast in your faith, and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. Do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clean conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. This was written in 1 Peter 3:15-16. Let us hold to this as we await the Lord's return.
We celebrate your excitement and anticipation of His coming and pray that you would always be ready and watching for His return.
