We are so grateful for the promise that God has given us in Revelation 21:4, "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away." This is a powerful reminder of the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
However, we notice that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Also, "in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB).
Let us pray together, aligning our hearts with God's will:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the promise of a future where there will be no more tears, death, sorrow, crying, or pain. We claim this promise in the name of Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins and rose again to give us eternal life.
Lord, we lift up the person who submitted this request. We pray that they would know the hope that comes from being in a right relationship with You through faith in Jesus Christ. If they have not already done so, we pray that they would confess their sins to You, turn from their wicked ways, believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for their sins, and put their trust in Him as their Lord and Savior. We ask the Holy Spirit to come into their heart, and make them a new creation.
Father, we ask that You would wipe away their tears and comfort their heart.
We thank you and praise your holy Name. Amen.
May the promise of Revelation 21:4 bring comfort and hope to all who believe in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us hold fast to the hope that we have in Him, knowing that He is faithful to His promises. "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful" (Hebrews 10:23 WEB).
