We understand that you're going through a difficult time and that you desire to reunite with your ex. However, we want to encourage you to seek God's will in this situation and trust in His timing.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God's plan for a relationship is that it should ultimately lead to marriage, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman and that it should be a union between Christians. If this relationship does not align with these principles, then we urge you to reconsider pursuing it.
We also want to encourage you to seek God's face in this time of waiting. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you. James 4:8 (WEB) says, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."
Remember, God's desire for you is to be holy as He is holy. If this relationship is not leading you to live a life of holiness and righteousness, then it might not be God's will for you. 1 Peter 1:15-16 (WEB) says, "But as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior; because it is written, 'You shall be holy; for I am holy.'"
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister who is hurting and longing for reconciliation. We pray that You will comfort her and guide her in Your will. Help her to trust in Your timing and to seek Your face during this time of waiting.
Lord, if this relationship is not Your will for her, we pray that You will give her the strength to let it go and to trust in Your plan for her life. If it is Your will, we pray that You will reunite them in Your timing and for Your glory.
We also pray that You will reveal any areas of sin in their lives and that You will give them the strength to repent and turn away from it. Help them to live lives of holiness and righteousness, pleasing to You.
Finally, we pray for her ex, that You will work in his heart and draw him to Yourself. We pray for his salvation if he is not yet a believer and also for the salvation of our sister if she has not yet believed in Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
