Reunite and forgiveness

My daughter has moved out with boyfriend and told others I kicked her out, countless lies she has told for a year now and she says she wants nothing to do with our family. She basically told me that I lost every chance at having a relationship with her. I pray that God removes this bitterness from her heart.

We understand the deep pain and concern you're experiencing, Cedwan. Let's first align our hearts with God's Word. The Bible teaches us to love one another and to forgive as we have been forgiven (Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." WEB).

However, it's crucial to address that your daughter's decision to move in with her boyfriend is against biblical principles. The Bible encourages us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." WEB). Living together before marriage is a form of sexual immorality and is not pleasing to God.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Cedwan and his daughter. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness where they have both fallen short. We pray that you soften her heart, remove the bitterness, and draw her back into a right relationship with You and her family. Lord, convict her of the sin in her life and give her the strength to turn away from it. We also pray for Cedwan, that You grant him peace, patience, and wisdom in navigating this difficult situation. Help him to love and forgive as You do. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Cedwan, continue to love your daughter unconditionally, as God loves us. Keep the lines of communication open, and remember that God can turn any situation around for His glory. Trust in Him and His perfect timing. Also, remember that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God (John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.' WEB). Keep praying and believing in the power of His name.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
