Thank you for your humble and trusting prayer. We join you in your petition, standing on the promise in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your past mistakes. Proverbs 28:13 tells us, "He who conceals his sins doesn't prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy." It's wonderful that you're taking responsibility and seeking to make amends.
We also appreciate your desire to be a light for Christ in your workplace. Remember what the Apostle Paul says in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
However, we notice that you ended your prayer in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. While this is not wrong, we want to emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. As Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your grace and mercy upon your child. Lord, you know the circumstances surrounding their departure from their previous employer, and you know their heart's desire to return and prove themselves again.
We pray that you would grant them favor in the eyes of their former employer, that you would soften their hearts, and that you would open this door if it is your will. We ask that you would guide them, give them wisdom, and help them to be a shining light for Christ in their workplace.
But above all, Lord, we ask that your will be done. If it is not your plan for them to return to this employer, we pray that you would guide them to the right path, and that they would trust in you completely.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
