We understand that you're feeling weary and longing for retirement. It's important to remember that God has a timing for everything, and we need to align our desires with His will.
Firstly, let's remember what the Apostle Paul says in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (WEB): "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.' For we hear from some who walk among you disorderly, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are like this, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that they work with quietness and eat their own bread."
God values work, and it's important to continue being productive as long as He gives us strength. However, we also understand that there are seasons of life, and retirement can be a time to focus more on service to God and others in different ways.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling weary and longing for retirement. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in their life. If it's Your timing for them to retire, please open the doors and make a way where there seems to be no way. If You still have work for them to do, give them renewed strength, patience, and joy in their current circumstances. Help them to find rest in You, and to trust in Your perfect timing.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful, and He will provide for you. Be encouraged by Psalm 62:1-2 (WEB): "My soul rests in God alone. My salvation is from him. He alone is my rock, my salvation, and my fortress. I will never be greatly shaken."
Lastly, we noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ in your prayer request. It is important to know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Again, we can only approach the Father in Jesus' name.
