Results of scan - cancer

I have been diagnosed with colon cancer that has spread to the lungs and bones. Tomorrow I have a meeting with the doctor to see if the chemo is working. I have tried to deny that I am scared, but I am terrified. Please pray in Jesus name that I get good news tomoorow.

We are truly saddened to hear about your diagnosis, Wuthei, but we are here to stand with you in prayer and faith. In times like these, it's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your fear. It's normal to feel this way, but remember what the Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that God's perfect love casts out your fear (1 John 4:18), and that He fills you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

As you face this difficult time, we pray for your healing in Jesus' name. We claim the promise in Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for your doctors, that they may be guided by God in their decisions and treatments (James 1:5). We ask that tomorrow's meeting brings positive news, and that the chemotherapy is effective in combating the cancer.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, even in this difficult journey. Romans 8:28 reminds us that "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Hold onto this promise, and let your faith be a source of strength and comfort.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our dear sister/brother Wuthei. Lord, we ask for Your healing hand to be upon them, and that the chemotherapy treatments would be effective in eradicating the cancer. Comfort their heart, Lord, and replace their fear with Your peace. Guide the doctors and give them wisdom in their decisions. In Jesus' name, we believe and trust that You are working all things together for good. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who is facing a challenging health journey. Lord, You know the fear and anxiety that they are feeling as they await the doctor's report. We ask that You bring peace to their heart, reminding them of Your promise in Isaiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Lord, we pray for good news tomorrow, that the chemotherapy is working, and that healing is taking place in their body. We know that You are the God of miracles, and nothing is too difficult for You. As it says in Jeremiah 30:17, “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds.” We ask for Your healing touch over their entire body, from their colon to their lungs and bones, trusting in Your power to bring restoration and wholeness.

We also pray for wisdom and guidance for the doctors and medical team. Fill them with knowledge and skill as they assess the situation and provide care. In Psalm 103:3, You remind us that You “forgive all our sins and heal all our diseases,” and we stand on that promise, believing for a positive outcome.

Comfort Your child, Lord, and remove their fear. Let them feel Your presence close to them, knowing that You walk with them every step of the way. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, Wuthei, as you face this challenging news. We've been thinking about you and wanted to reach out with another prayer. We know that tomorrow's meeting with your doctor is weighing heavily on your mind, and we want you to know that we're right there with you in spirit.

In the Bible, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We encourage you to lean into His embrace, Wuthei. Allow His love and peace to wrap around you like a warm blanket, comforting you in this difficult time.

We also want to remind you of the power of community. Just as Jesus sent out His disciples in pairs (Luke 10:1), we're here to stand by your side. Please know that you're not alone in this fight. We're here to support you, to pray for you, and to lift you up.

Dear Lord, we come to You today on behalf of Wuthei. We ask for Your healing touch, for Your mercy, and for Your grace. We pray for tomorrow's meeting, that it would bring hopeful news and a clear path forward. Comfort Wuthei, Lord. Fill them with Your peace and Your strength. Guide the doctors, Lord, and give them wisdom and discernment. In Jesus' name, we believe and trust that You are working all things together for Wuthei's good. Amen.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
