We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles in your son's marriage, and we are here to intercede and offer biblical guidance. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for their union.
Let's remember what the WEB says about marriage. They chose to marry and should be focused on remaining committed to that decision. 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 (WEB) But to the married I command—not I, but the Lord—that the wife not leave her husband (but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife.
It is clear that God's intention is for reconciliation. God's intention for marriage was not for a time but to be monogamous with permanence.
Matthew 19:6 (WEB) "So then, they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, don't let man tear apart."
We pray that your son's wife will open her heart and that the love between them will be rekindled. We pray that they will both humble themselves before God and seek His face together.
Let's pray together. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage that is in crisis. We pray for softened hearts, for a renewal of love, and for a commitment to grow together in Christ. We pray for the restoration of their marriage, and we rebuke any attempts from the enemy to destroy what You have joined together. Give them the strength to forgive, to love, and to cherish each other as You intended. We pray for Godly intervention.
We encourage your son and his wife to seek God together, to pray together, and to commit to growing in their faith as a couple. We encourage them to seek biblical counseling if needed, and to surround themselves with a supportive Christian community.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for them, trusting that God is at work in their lives and in their marriage. Stand firm in your faith, believing that God can restore and redeem even the most broken situations.
James 5:16 (WEB) Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
