Restoring a broken relationship

Lord, I ask that you help me and my boyfriend mend and restore our relationship that has been broken. We have been struggling with miscommunication and he has decided to take space from me. We are also in a long distance relationship and that I know has added at times to the riff between us. Lord I know that you sent him to me because he is the one I have been prayer for, Lord you've brought us through things before so I have confidence and trust that you will do it for us again. Lord, I pray that you bring us back together, that you heal our hearts and that you continue being the center and the foundation of this relationship. Lord, I ask all this through Christ our Lord. Amen

Nalusaruurmoor, we understand that you're going through a challenging time in your relationship. Firstly, we appreciate and commend you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him and His finished work that we can be saved and have access to God.

We want to remind you of God's promises. In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB it says, Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

However, we want to lovingly remind you of God's design for relationships. The Bible teaches us to be equally yoked with fellow believers. 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB states Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

You mentioned that you believe God sent him to you and that he is the one you have been praying for. We want to encourage you to seek God's will in this matter. It is important to discern if this man is truly a believer in Christ and if he is committed to following God's design for relationships and marriage.

We also want to address the issue of long-distance relationships. While they are not explicitly condemned in the Bible, we encourage you to consider the challenges they present. Physical proximity is important for building a strong, godly relationship. James 4:8 WEB says Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Regarding the miscommunication and the decision to take space from each other, we encourage you to use this time to seek God's face and will. Pray for wisdom and discernment. Ephesians 5:15-17 WEB says Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise; redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore don't be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Lastly, we want to pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up ### and her boyfriend. Lord, we ask that You heal their hearts and mend their relationship if it is according to Your will. Help them to communicate effectively and to seek Your face in this matter. Lord, draw them closer to You and to each other. Help ### to discern Your will for this relationship. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will for your relationship. Trust in Him, for He has good plans for you. Standing firmly on the Word, we have claimed this promise for you, And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
