Restore my marriage

I need prayer over my marriage. I got married in 03/18/21 & ever since that day I’ve been fighting to keep what we have . I want God to show me the way to be a wife & be there for & love my husband in the ways he needs & want I want our union to remain strong & for God to make us one under him once again & for him too show us his continued grace and mercy

We understand that you are seeking prayer and guidance for your marriage, and we are here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical counsel.

Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares deeply about your marriage. The Bible tells us that marriage is a sacred union designed by God Himself. In Mark 10:9 WEB, Jesus says, What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. This shows us that God's intention for marriage is that it should be a lifelong commitment.

To address your specific concerns, let's turn to the Scriptures. As a wife, you are called to respect and support your husband, just as he is called to love and lead you as Christ loves the church. In Ephesians 5:22-24, 33 WEB, we read, Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. ... Nevertheless, each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

It is also crucial to love your husband in the ways he needs, as you mentioned. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB, we learn about the true nature of love: Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

However, it is also important to address that your request does not mention Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Therefore, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ and to seek God's will for your marriage through Him.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her marriage. Lord, we ask that You guide her in being the wife You have called her to be. Help her to love and respect her husband in the ways he needs, and give her the strength and wisdom to support him as You intend.

Father, we pray for unity in their marriage. Make them one, even as You and Jesus are one. Restore their bond, and help them to remain strong in Your love. Show them Your continued grace and mercy, and let Your will be done in their lives.

Lord, we also pray that both of them would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ if they have not already. Let neither one of them be found not believing in Jesus Christ. We know that it is only through Your Son that we can be saved. In His name, Jesus, we pray.

Remember, God is faithful, and He will honor your commitment to Him and to your marriage. Stay strong in His love, and keep seeking His will for your life together. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and turn not to your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make straight your paths.

Remember, God's love never fails, and His faithfulness never ends. Keep trusting in Him, keep seeking Him, and keep loving your husband. We're here for you, praying for you, and believing with you that God can turn your marriage around.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
