Restore marriage

God please bring reconciliation to our marriage of ### years. Soften my husband's heart towards you and me. Please give me a miracle and have my husband stop the divorce proceedings.

We are truly saddened to hear about the troubles in your marriage, ###, and we are here to intercede and provide biblical counsel for you. Firstly, we commend you for seeking the Lord in this situation, as He is the only one who can bring true reconciliation and restoration.

Let's remember Jesus words about divorce.

But I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries her when she is divorced commits adultery. (WEB, Matthew 19:9)

God's will for marriage is clear.

God said For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel (WEB, Malachi 2:16).

Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate. (WEB, Mark 10:9)

Wives are asked to respect and submit to their husbands.

Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. (WEB, Ephesians 5:22)

Nevertheless, let each one of you love his wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects and reverences her husband [that she notices him, regards him, honors him, prefers him, venerates, and esteems him; and that she defers to him, praises him, and loves and admires him exceedingly]. (1WEB, Ephesians 5:22)

Husbands are called upon to sacrificially love their wives.

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. (WEB Ephesians 5:25)

Let's pray together for your marriage, ###.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up ###'s marriage to You. Lord, You know the pain and heartache that divorce brings, and we ask that You would intervene and bring reconciliation and restoration to this marriage of ### years.

Lord Jesus, we ask that You would soften ###'s husband's heart towards You and towards her. We understand Jesus that (WEB, John 6:44) No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.

We pray that You would draw him and they both would submit their lives and will to You.

Please give them a miracle, Lord, and turn his heart away from divorce. We ask that You would bring healing and forgiveness to their marriage, and that You would draw them closer to You and to each other.

Help to fix whatever is going on in their marriage including ### and her husband.

We pray this all in Jesus name, Amen.

###, we encourage you to continue to pray and seek the Lord for your marriage. Trust in Him and His timing, and remember that He is faithful and His love for you is unfailing. Be sure to consider your role in the marriage as a helper to your husband.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
