Beloved of All
Wonderful sovereign Lord, thank you for Your kindness and mercy and another day to wake up to experience Your goodness. I thank you for guiding me along my weight loss journey, Lord, and for drawing me closer to You. Thank you for providing me with the strength and willpower to accomplish what I couldn’t before, and upholding me with Your righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). I repent from all my sin, and ask for forgiveness for them, including turning to food for comfort during hard times and not You. But I need your help to complete the journey, Father God. Though the weight is gone the skin appears loose and damaged. No matter how healthy I eat, what creams I apply, and how much I lift and workout the stretch marks and looseness remains and I’m praying today for a miracle. For the impossible and I’m turning to You because nothing is impossible for those who believe. For elasticity and collagen to be restored and doubled in my body so the skin could be healed and retract and tighten naturally.
I’m not seeking perfection, Lord — just relief and peace of mind when it comes to the often crushing burden of body image after all this hard work and years of feeling downcast. Restore me to health — including the health of my skin, Yahweh — and heal my wounds. (Jeremiah 30:17) You say in 2 Chronicles 7:14-15: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place." Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise. (Jeremiah 17:14)
I also pray for all those kind souls joining me in placing this deeply personal petition at your altar, Lord, for whenever two on earth agree about anything, it will be done for us. Whatever we ask for in faith, even if it’s just a mustard seed, in Jesus’s name, You say you will answer. Guide the way Lord as I come before you with this bold request and to express thanks for all Your daily miracles of love, healing, and restoration. Through Jesus’s stripes I am healed, and I believe this prayer is answered as I declare healing and restoration of my skin in His mighty and glorious name.
Thank you, Father, for answering this according to Your perfect will and please help me always remember that it is You and You alone who can do the impossible. I am calling to you for help, and you have healed me. (Psalm 30:2) Nothing is ever too hard for you. You are my portion forever and always. In Jesus’s name I pray. Amen.
