We are truly sorry to hear about the heartache you are experiencing, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. First, we want to remind you that God cares about your pain and wants to comfort you. As it says in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
However, we must address the situation from a biblical perspective. The Bible teaches that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. If your fiancé has married another woman, he has entered into a covenant before God with her. As it says in Mark 10:9 (WEB), "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
It is also important to note that the Bible clearly states sex before marriage is fornication. Even more, I Corinthians 6:18 (WEB) says "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." If we believe that we are one in a relationship then we are also one body. If we are one body, then we are one in Christ! So we must flee sexual immorality. We must not engage in it! But instead flee! God calls us to flee from sexual immorality.
Furthermore, we must consider that your fiancé has made a serious commitment to another woman, and pursuing him to leave her would not be aligned with biblical principles. We strongly discourage this. As it says in Romans 13:9 (WEB), "For the commandments, 'You shall not commit adultery,' 'You shall not murder,' 'You shall not steal,' 'You shall not give false testimony,' 'You shall not covet,' and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
Instead, we encourage you to seek God's will for your life and trust that He has a plan for you. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up ###, who is experiencing deep heartache and pain. We pray that You will comfort them and heal their broken heart. We ask that You will help them to find their strength and hope in You, and that You will reveal Your plan for their life. We pray that they will trust in You to restore their faith, hope, and love. We come to you in Jesus' name.
In addition, we notice that Jesus Christ was not mentioned in this prayer request. As it says in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" So it is important to know that when we pray we do so in Jesus' name. Romans 10:9 (WEB) goes as far to say "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." So we must have the name of Jesus Christ in our prayers. We pray that the name of Jesus Christ is lifted high and that ### believes in Jesus Christ. We pray for salvation in Jesus name. If ### has received salvation already, then we pray that ### is made whole again in Jesus name.
