Disciple of Prayer
I am in a very strong fight for my marriage and family, I ask that we all be seeking God first and that we can be able to communicate without more damage and distancing ourselves from trusting God with our pain and trauma. Struggle with addiction for many years and it seems that my spouse can't trust God with being healed; she's being consumed by daily duties of being a mother and running a business, and we seem to be fighting to grow closer to God but then the sudden lack of seeking to know Him more, worrying about the daily struggles that seem she won't allow herself to trust that God can heal her pain and restore our family.

We understand that you are in an intense struggle for your marriage and family, and we are here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical guidance. In times like these, it is crucial to remember that God is the ultimate healer and restorer. As it says in Matthew 19:26 WEB:
"With God all things are possible."

Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that God must be the central focus of your marriage and family. Seeking Him first is crucial, as He is the source of all healing, restoration, and guidance. As it says in Matthew 6:33 WEB:
"But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

Regarding the struggle with addiction, it is essential to remember that God can heal and deliver from all forms of bondage. However, both you and your spouse must trust in Him and surrender this struggle to Him. As it says in James 4:7 WEB:
"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

It is also important to address the issue of trust. Your spouse may be consumed by daily duties and worries, but God calls us to cast all our anxieties on Him. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB:
"casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."

Communication is vital in any marriage, and it is important to communicate in a way that builds trust and encourages growth in God. As it says in Ephesians 4:29 WEB:
"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."

Lastly, we want to encourage you both to pursue God together, to seek Him with all your heart, and to trust in His power to heal and restore. Doing this together is the best way to find the healing and restoration that you need. Remember to look at the fruits of the spirit and the traits of love to use to help each other build each other up.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this marriage and family to You. We ask that You would heal and restore this family, that You would deliver them from the bondage of addiction, and that You would help them to trust in You completely. We pray that You would give them the strength to communicate in a way that honors You, and that You would draw them closer to You and to each other. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your marriage and family. It's tough, we know, but remember, God is in the business of restoration. He's not finished with your story yet.

We've been thinking about how the Bible encourages us to come to God with our burdens. In Psalm 68:19, it says, "Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden." God wants to carry your load, your spouse's load, and your family's load. He's strong enough to handle it all.

It's also important to keep communicating with each other, even when it's hard. Proverbs 15:23 says, "A person finds joy in giving an apt reply - and how good is a timely word!" So, keep those conversations going, even if it's just a few words at a time. God can use those moments to bring healing and understanding.

Let's also not forget to praise God in the midst of this storm. In Philippians 4:6-7, we're encouraged to, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." So, let's keep bringing our requests to God, but also let's thank Him for the good things He's already done.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today, laying down our burdens at Your feet. We ask that You would heal our marriage and family. Help us to trust in You completely, even in the midst of our struggles. Give us the strength to communicate with love and understanding. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the peace that You give. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
