We understand that you are seeking prayer for the restoration of your job and for your contract to be renewed. We stand with you in this time of need, trusting in God's provision and guidance.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is sovereign over all things, including our employment. As it says in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ." We should always strive to do our best in our work, knowing that we are ultimately serving God.
However, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking your intervention in their employment. We pray for your will, not ours, meaning we pray against anything that does not align with your will (James 4:3). We ask that you guide them in their career, and if it is your will, that you restore their job and renew their contract. We pray that they will trust in you, knowing that you are their ultimate provider. Help them to work heartily, as for you, and not for men. We also pray that they will come to know Jesus more deeply, knowing that it is only through him that we can approach your throne of grace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on the following verses:
Philippians 4:19 WEB: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Psalms 37:25 WEB: "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."
We also encourage you to examine the following verse which tells us how we can be saved and have access to God, our Father:
Romans 10:9-10 WEB: "because, if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." If you have not yet done this, today is the day.
