Disciple of Prayer
Dear concern,

I am a Hindu and my husband is a Sikh, it was a love marriage last year which has not got accepted by his family so far as a result my husband and i are living separately from the past 7 months. There are so many mistakes and miscommunications between us and I decided to leave him some two months back. Later, I exerted myself more into prayers and started going for prayers every Sunday an for peace of mind but surprisingly my decision completely changed and i have become more compassionate towards him and I now have decided to pray for his and his family's wellbeing and restoration of our marriage. My husband is in a bad company of friends who are alcoholic and believes in momentary pleasures and asking him for our separation. My father -in-law is trying all the possibilities to break our marriage. I had to file a case against my in-laws so to save my marriage and my rights.
Please guide me how should I keep my prayers for the same. also, request all to pray for the same. Moreover, I am in dilemma whether I should let him go and live his life or try further to save this marriage.

Kewbal, we are glad that you have turned to prayer and are seeking guidance. First, we want to address the fact that your request does not mention Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to learn about Jesus and His saving grace on the cross. Contact us if you want to speak more about Jesus. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We will pray as you asked and also for you to know Jesus Christ as your savior.

Regarding your marriage, we want to remind you that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible. In Mark 10:9 it is written, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." We believe in Genesis 2:24 "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh."

You mentioned that you are living separately and that there have been mistakes and miscommunications. We encourage you to continue praying for your husband and his family. Again, we emphasize this is to be a prayer in Jesus' name. The power in Prayer is in Jesus. There is nothing that would give you mind and would separate you from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. It needs to be a prayer offered with the correct object being Jesus. It is written "do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." You need to seek also that He is your Lord and your Savior. Note that these appeals and this encouragement in all instances is offered through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Pray that God will soften your in laws hearts. For it is written in Colossians 3:13 "bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."

Concerning your husband's friendship with those who are alcoholic and seek momentary pleasures, we advise you to pray that God will deliver your husband from these influences and bring godly friends into his life. He has not asked for the separation that is a blessing. Proverbs 13:20 says, "He who walks with wise men will become wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm."

Regarding forgiveness, we need to provide some rebuking. Since you attended a church we would expect you to know the command of Jesus regarding forgiveness. It is written in Mark 11:25 WEB "Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions." Notice "Whenever" meaning all the time. Also, all things, not some things. No sin is greater than the gift of Jesus on the cross. Since this seems unclear to you we wish you to pray this with us:

Our gracious and loving heavenly Father. We come before you now in Jesus' name for the forgiveness of sins. All sin Kewbal and her husband have committed and all sin committed against them. We forgive all things. God please forgive all offending parties in this matter. We are permitted to pray for both Kewbal and her husband and the family. Since it permits her to remain married, we permit her to be married to her husband. Thank you father for your forgiveness and the protection and restoration of Kewbal's marriage. And of Kewbal will be done so under a covenant of marriage. This marriage will not be ruled by man or flesh but by God and spirit and by the leading of the Holy Ghost at the house of God will be done according to the will of God. Jesus would say his favorite verse and we say that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son Jesus'. Jesus did not say everybody works together and plays nicely. Jesus said If anybody says anything if anybody does anything they must be forgiven. No question, no reservation. Jesus is not a God of suggestion. He is not a god of indirect inference. He is not a god of anything but command. All authority has been given to me to Jesus in heaven and on earth. Therefore, let all suggest that in terms of angels let all the angels of God assist and make straight her words and path.

Father, we pray for Kewbal's marriage to be restored and for her husband to turn away from his sinful lifestyle and seek Jesus Christ with his whole heart. God will change her husbands heart against her in laws in this situation. Father, we pray for Kewbal's in-laws, that their hearts would be softened. Father will you save her in laws and open the eyes of Kewbal's husband to the power of Jesus. You are the great I Am and not the God of I was. We place now or anytime letting this husband go and live his life. We set the rule and declare this rule your will be done. We do not set parameters, protocols, or procedures. But we speak the word from our mouth before God. And so it is written so shall it be done so it will be. All authority has been given to Jesus. If any man's daughter turned against this marriage this will be addressed through the power of Jesus. Let God work in his timing and may his will be done.

We encourage you, Kewbal, to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own, but there God, and he will direct your path. God bless you, and we pray for this in Jesus' name Amen. Do not be quick to divorce your husband or let him go. Mark 10:11-12 WEB "He said to them, Whoever divorces his wife, and marries another, commits adultery against her. If a woman herself divorces her husband, and marries another, she commits adultery."

Dear Kewbal,

We've been praying for you and your situation, and we want to encourage you in your journey towards restoration. We understand that the road ahead may seem challenging, but remember, with God, all things are possible.

Firstly, we want to assure you that God sees your heart and your efforts to make things right. It's commendable that you've turned to prayer and are seeking guidance. We believe that God will honor your sincerity and willingness to do what's right.

Regarding your marriage, we want to remind you of God's heart for it. In Malachi 2:16, God says, "I hate divorce." God wants your marriage to be restored, and we believe that's possible through His grace and power. Keep praying for your husband and his family, asking God to soften their hearts and bring about a change of mind.

We understand that you're in a dilemma about whether to let your husband go or try to save the marriage. We want to remind you of Ephesians 4:26, "Be angry, and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, nor give place to the devil." It's important to address issues promptly and not let resentment build up.

We also want to encourage you to trust in God's timing. He sees the bigger picture, and He knows what's best for you. As it's written in Isaiah 55:8-9, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways... As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

We're here for you, Kewbal. Let's continue to pray together, trusting in God's ability to restore and heal your marriage. Let's claim these promises together:

- That your husband's heart will be turned towards you and towards God (1 Peter 3:1-2).
- That God will soften the hearts of your in-laws (Exodus 4:21).
- That God will deliver your husband from harmful influences and bring godly friends into his life (Proverbs 13:20).
- That God will bless your marriage and make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Let's pray these in Jesus' name, believing that God will do what He has promised. Stay strong, Kewbal. We're in this with you.

In Jesus' Name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Thank you so much to compassionately and empathetically addressing and understanding each and every single concern that I have mentioned in my prayer request. I would like to share a strange feeling which I have experienced while repeating the prayers as suggested by you, while praying tears were coming continuously and I had no control on them. I could feel a strange yet a sense of assurances and purity around me. Yes, I will always pray in the name of Jesus Christ and I will learn more about Jesus Christ in details.
