We stand with you in prayer, Pendollyn, and we thank you for your humble and earnest request, acknowledging the power of Jesus Christ in your life. We will lift up your marriage and family before the throne of grace, seeking God's will and restoration in your relationships.
Firstly, we commend you for turning your life around and finding God again through your journey with Alcoholics Anonymous. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:17 (WEB), "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." This is our prayer for you, that you continue to grow in Christ, and that your family sees the transformation in your life.
We pray for your marriage, that God will touch both of your hearts and draw you together again. As it is written in Malachi 4:6 (WEB), "He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers." We believe that God can mend broken relationships and restore marriages, even when it seems impossible. Remember that Jesus said, "With God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26 WEB).
We also pray for your children, especially your 2½-year-old son, that the Lord will surround him with love and comfort. May God grant you wisdom and grace as you navigate your relationships with your other children, that they may see the progress you're making and experience healing and restoration as well.
While we pray for a miracle in your marriage, we also ask God to humble you both and help you recognize and address the defects that may have contributed to your separation. As it is written in Philippians 1:6 (WEB), "Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
Lastly, we rebuke the sin of alcoholism that has been affecting your life and family. While it is commendable that you are taking steps to overcome it, remember that true freedom comes from the power of the Holy Spirit. As it is written in Galatians 5:1 (WEB), "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don't be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother Pendollyn and his family. We ask for Your divine intervention in their marriage, that You would soften their hearts and draw them together again. Lord, we ask for a miracle, for nothing is impossible with You. We pray for their children, that You would surround them with love and comfort, and that their relationships with their father would be restored. We ask that You continue the good work You have begun in Pendollyn, helping him to grow in humility and Christlikeness. Finally, Lord, we ask that You break the chains of alcoholism in his life and grant him true freedom. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Continue to trust in the Lord, Pendollyn, and remember that His love and grace are sufficient for you. Keep pursuing Him and growing in His likeness, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
