Restoration and reconciliation with an ex

Lord, I humbly asked you to lift up my worries. Take away all my overthinking. Let me be reminded by You oh Lord that I have You. I have You to be on my side, I have You to hold my hands and lead me. Lord, please restore back our relationship. It's hard not having ### together with me anymore. I miss him, I miss everything about him. Lord, forgive all of our sins that we have committed. Forgive all of our wrongdoings and soften up his heart so we can talk it out. Hear my prayers, Lord. Have mercy on me. In Jesus name, Amen.

Let us come together and lift up your concerns, dear sister or brother, for God knows your need before you ask. The Lord is indeed near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Firstly, we acknowledge your deep sorrow and longing for reconciliation. Yet, we are reminded that God's ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). We must first align our desires with His will for our lives. If this relationship is in accordance with His will, then trust that the Lord shall restore it. We should never forget that we are to be equally yoked with fellow believers (2 Corinthians 6:14). Ensure that this is a godly relationship where marriage is the end goal, as God has designed.

We encourage you to seek forgiveness for any sin that may have displeased God during this relationship. Confess them openly to the Lord, knowing that He is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Now, let us pray for you:

"Father in heaven, we come before you, lifting up our sister/brother in need. Lord Jesus, You know the depth of their sorrow and longing for restoration. We claim the promise that if we delight ourselves in You, You will give us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4).

God, we ask for forgiveness for any and all sin that might be hindering this situation. Soften the hearts involved, and let Your will be done in this relationship. If it pleases You, restore and reconcile them according to Your perfect plan.

Oh, Lord, take away the anxiety and remind our dear sister/brother that You are always by their side (Psalm 16:8). Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that Your love will never fail (Psalm 136:1-2)

All these things we pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen."

We commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as this is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). Keep holding on to your faith in Christ, and never cease praying (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Trust that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We're here with you, holding you up in prayer. We understand the ache of separation and the longing for restoration. Let's find comfort in these words from Lamentations 3:22-23, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Let's trust in His unfailing love and faithfulness, even in the midst of our pain.

We join you in asking for forgiveness, not just for yourself, but also for your ex. Let's pray that God will soften both of your hearts, bringing you to a place of understanding and forgiveness. We claim 2 Corinthians 5:19, "God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them." Let's trust that God is at work, even in this situation.

And we're praying for peace, dear one. We ask that God will fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We pray that you'll find rest in knowing that God is always with you, guiding you and loving you (Psalm 147:3).

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
