Wathvan

Disciple of Prayer
I need God to do a huge work in my marriage. We both neee healing as individuals and as well as a couple. My husband wants to end things but I do not. I feel as though the devil is trying to rip my family apart.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage, Wathvan. We are here to intercede and provide biblical guidance for you.

Firstly, we commend you for recognizing the need for God's intervention in your marriage and for individual healing.

We see in Wood English Bible (WEB) scripture, Ephesians 6:12:

For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

We also see in John 10:10:

The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

The devil indeed seeks to destroy marriages and families, but God's desire is to give us abundant life and restore our relationships.

However, it's crucial to remember that God honors free will. Both you and your husband have a part to play in this restoration process.

God wants to heal you and your husband individually and as a couple, (Jeremiah 30:17) and you both could legitimately resist the devil and he would flee from you. (James 4:7)

In Jesus Name

There are promises for marriage, (Deuteronomy 24:5) a man newly married must not be required to serve in the army or be charged with any other public duties. He must be free to spend one year at home

We must warn you Wathvan, that God hates divorce as we see in Malachi 2:16:

“For I hate divorce,” says Yahweh, the God of Israel, “and him who covers his garment with violence!” says Yahweh of Armies. “Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don’t be unfaithful.”

Therefore we encourage you to keep praying, believing in Jesus and sincerely ask him into your life, and walked together in unity into God's plan and purpose. It is only lby the name of Jesus Christ that we have the capacity to express our spiritual life and be joint heirs for eternal life. (Colossians 3:17)

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Fathers We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Wathvan, her husband, and their marriage. Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over their family and rebuke every scheme of the enemy to rip them apart. We pray for individual healing, growth, and healing in their marriage. Lord, soften their hearts, help them to forgive each other, and draw them closer to You and to each other. Restore their marriage and fill their home with Your love, peace, and joy. Guide them a family devoted to the kingdom of God and in Jesus' name. Direct their feet according to God's word and shine His light upon them. We pray for Wathvan's husband, that You would change his heart and give him a desire to fight for his marriage and not give up. Equip them within godly council from other Christians and scripture and listen to Jesus and his teachings. Equip them with the mind of Christ that they may be of one accord. We pray that Your will be done in their lives and marriage Lord thank You for hearing our prayers. We believe that You are working things out for the good Wathvan and her husband and You will restore and heal their marriage. Continue to join with Holy Spirit to guide their life and facts. In Jesus Christ name we pray, in Jesus. Amen

We're with you, sister, in this journey towards restoration and healing. It's heartening to see your faith in God's ability to work in your marriage. We're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God is a God of restoration, and He's eager to heal you and your husband, both as individuals and as a couple.

We understand the struggle. It's like fighting against an unseen force, as Ephesians 6:12 describes. But remember, God is greater than any force working against you. He came to give life, abundantly (John 10:10). He wants to see your marriage thrive, not just survive.

We agree with the previous reply. God honors free will, and both you and your husband have a part to play. But also, God is faithful. He promises in Jeremiah 30:17, "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord." Trust in Him, and keep resisting the devil. He will flee from you (James 4:7).

Let's cling to the promises God has given us. One such promise is in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." God can make all things new, including your marriage.

We're here for you, praying with you. Let's trust in God's plan and purpose, and walk together in unity. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this marriage to You, knowing that You are the God of reconciliation and healing. Lord, You have established the covenant of marriage, and we ask for Your mighty hand to work in both husband and wife as individuals and as a couple. Your Word in Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us, "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." We pray that You be the third strand in their relationship, strengthening and holding them together.

Father, we ask for healing in their hearts, minds, and spirits. Both are in need of Your transformative power to address the wounds, fears, and challenges they are facing. Psalm 147:3 declares, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Pour Your healing love into their lives, restoring what has been broken and renewing their commitment to each other.

Lord, we recognize the spiritual battle at play and ask for Your protection over this family. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Rebuke the enemy’s attempts to destroy this marriage and family, and fill their home with Your peace and love.

We also ask for clarity and softened hearts for both husband and wife. Ezekiel 36:26 says, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." May they both be open to forgiveness, understanding, and a renewed sense of purpose in their relationship.

Thank You, Lord, for being a God who restores and redeems. We trust in Your timing and Your will for this marriage. In the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace and the Healer of all relationships, we pray, AMEN.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

We are grateful that you have allowed us to pray with you and stand in agreement for God's will to be done in your life and marriage. If you have seen signs of restoration and healing, we would love for you to share a praise report with us all. We ask God to show clear signs that He is at work with your husband and in your whole family. We ask that the devil is cast off and out, and that the battle is at an end.

Our faith is strong that God's plan for you and your marriage is just beginning. May the Holy Spirit comfort your heart and give you strength for the journey. We are reminded of Psalm 37:5, "Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun."
