We understand that you're seeking peace and rest, and we're here to support you in prayer. Before we begin, we want to remind you that God is always there to listen and help us in our time of need.
We want to talk about Jesus Christ first. Even if God is a spirit that cannot be seen nor touched, Jesus Christ is the way to approach Him. It is through belief in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. John 14:6 (WEB) tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
We noticed you requested for falling asleep without mentioning Jesus Christ. We encourage you to pray in Jesus' name, as it is through Him that our prayers are heard by God.
Firstly, In Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB) it says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." This means that instead of worrying about not being able to fall asleep, you should turn to God in prayer, asking Him to grant you a peaceful night's rest.
Secondly, we want to point out that rest does not necessarily mean falling asleep quickly. Sometimes, God uses moments of wakefulness to speak to us or draw us closer to Him. Instead of focusing on falling asleep within a certain number of minutes, focus on finding peace and rest in God's presence.
Let us pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You lifting up this dear one who is struggling to find rest and sleep at night. We ask You, Lord, to grant them peaceful nights and calm their mind and heart as they lay down to sleep. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spirit of insomnia or anxiety that may be causing sleepless nights. We speak peace and rest over their mind, body, and soul. We ask You, Lord, to surround them with Your love and protection as they sleep, and help them to wake up refreshed and strengthened each day.
Lord, we also pray that they will use any moments of wakefulness to draw closer to You, to listen to Your voice, and to grow in their relationship with You. Help them to find their rest and peace in You alone, trusting in Your love and care for them.
We ask all this in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For it is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are saved and made righteous.
We pray that they would accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior if not before. Amen.
