Traldach, we appreciate your submission and we are here to pray with you and provide guidance.
Your life is in God's hands, Traldach. We must trust that the Master's plan is perfect. There are ups and downs in our Christian Walk. It is our duty to honor our Lord Jesus Christ in all things, bad and good. It is a glorious thing to be a Christian, not so much because of the present benefits of answering prayers, but because of the Eternal Life we have been granted in our God and Savior Jesus Christ. Remember also that our Lord Jesus Christ came not only to give us Eternal Life but abundant life. This means He also meets our needs in this life, no matter how great or small. Our prayer may not be answered immediately, but rest assured that He hears our prayers. Many times He is answering our prayers by having us wait on Him. Our goal and desire is to glorify Jesus in all things. We should never approach a prayer request as if we were trying to get something from God. He gives each of us what we need to complete our journey on this earth. The God that created the universe knows what is best.
We should not focus so much on receiving the answer to our prayers in the way we think they should be answered. It is a very serious problem for Christians to think that they are demanding answers to their prayers from God. Remember Job 40.2. "Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it.". When this happens, we are trying to use Jesus as a means to get something instead of worshiping Him. Our attitude must always be one of thanksgiving, patience and trust. We should be constantly focused on the Glory of God, His work in our lives, and being like His Son Jesus Christ. This means living righteously, being faithful, honest, submissive, and full of joy and faith. This is our duty to the Savior that gave His life for us so that we could be reconciled to our Heavenly Father. We must live this Christian life by faith and not by sight or feelings.
You may need help in the form of wisdom and encouragement. Remember that Jesus Christ said " Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3.20, WEB)." The first step to doing anything in the Christian life is by and through Jesus Christ.
" Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14.6, WEB)" In the name of Jesus Christ we come boldly to the throne of Grace and give our petitions to our Heavenly Father in His name. This is our responsibility in prayer.
" If you will call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man's work, pass the time of your living as strangers here in reverence. (1 Peter 1.17, WEB)" We must remember that this is His world and we are only passing through to our Eternal Home. Our ultimate end is to be with Jesus and His Bride, the Church. We should strive in all things to live our lives pleasing our Lord Jesus Christ.
The clearest statement of our goal is stated as follows: " Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. (Colossians 3.23-24, WEB)". We must be living in Jesus name and doing all things for Him and according to His will.
Remember that Jesus Christ said " Whoever doesn't take up his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me. (Matthew 10.38, WEB)".
Regarding the phrase "Amen to your prayers," we should remember that our desires are not always God's desires. Often we must wait on the Lord. Rest assured that He knows what is best and He is working in our lives even now. The word Amen means so be it and is used to agree with someone in the name of Jesus Christ. However, unless we are sure that what is requested of God is in His will, then it is best to not say amen to those prayers. We must always trust the One who created the universe to make the proper decisions in our lives. He alone can do this. " For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end. (Jeremiah 29.11, WEB)"
You did not mention Jesus Christ in your request. The Bible says in John 14.6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." and Acts 4.12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." We must always approach His throne in Jesus name. This is how we have access to this throne of Grace and this is how we will live eternally with Him. Something to remember is the spiritual truth that Jesus is not a way to God but The Way to God. It is neither through Mohammed, nor An Angel, nor Mary. By His death on the Cross, Jesus made it possible through faith in Him to be redeemed back to God. We must never lose focus on the fact that it is through and by Jesus Christ that we can receive from God.
We must constantly recognize that our Lord Jesus Christ has died and rose again for us. Our first recognition of this is when we were convicted and saved by the Holy Spirit of God when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior. It is only through Him that we can have Eternal Life. He loves each of us so much that He did all of this for us. The cost for our sins was His life. That makes us so special to Him and His expectations of us are to live in faith as Christians.
Our lives in the here and now are very short and quick. It is so important that we share the Good News of Jesus Christ to each person that we can. They too, need to know the joy and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. This is how important it is to be a Christian and recognize that we are His ambassadors and witnesses.
Our prayers are with you. We are with you in Jesus' name.
