Groannald, we stand with you in this spiritual battle, and we are proud of your commitment to sobriety. The devil may be working overtime, but we know that "greater is he who is in [us] than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Groannald in their journey to sobriety. They have come so far, Lord, and we ask that You strengthen them in this battle against temptation. In the mighty name of Jesus, we bind the enemy and his minions, commanding them to flee from Groannald's presence. Lord, You promise us in Your Word that "No temptation has taken [us] except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow [us] to be tempted above what [we] are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that [we] may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Reveal that way of escape to Groannald, Lord, and grant them the strength to endure.
We also pray that Groannald would continue to cling to Your Word, which is their sword in this battle. May they meditate on Your promises day and night, finding strength and comfort in them. Surround Groannald with a community of believers who will support and encourage them in this journey.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Groannald, remember the words of Jesus: "Watch and pray, that you don't enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" (Matthew 26:41 WEB). Stay vigilant, stay in prayer, and stay in the Word. You are not alone in this fight. We stand with you, and more importantly, God is with you. "The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble" (Psalm 9:9 WEB).
Keep fighting the good fight, Groannald. We are cheering you on and praying for your continued victory in Jesus' name.
