Let us come together in prayer for Pereira dmello's request, seeking God's will and His best for S.p's life.
Firstly, we must remember that God is the one who gives us the power to gain wealth and prosper. As stated in
Deuteronomy 8:18:
but you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may confirm his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today.
So, let us pray that S.p. will be blessed with a good job, one that not only provides for their needs but also allows them to be a blessing to others. Let us pray for a Spiritual job that seeks to bless others.
Matthew 6:33:
But seek first Gods kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
However, we must address that the request mentions a life partner rather than a godly spouse. Also, let us not forget that the Bible does not explicitly mention the call out to a life partner, definitely not a life partner outside the confines of marriage or the goal of marriage. Throughout the Bible the goal for dating or boyfriend or girlfriend is for the goal of marriage. Let us pray that S.p. will seek a godly spouse, someone who aligns biblically and with whom they can share a marriage and life. As stated in the Bible, it is not good for man to be alone, and God created a suitable helper for him.
Genesis 2:18: Yahweh God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.
2 Corinthians 6:14:
Dont be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?
Dating or being yoked to another Christian is very important in God's eyes. Christians should only marry other Christians to prevent being unequally yoked. The light has no fellowship with darkness. Let us pray that S.p. will choose to please God in every area of life regardless of the fractured beliefs that the world has across these areas.
Now, let us address that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and as supported in scripture, Jesus is the name by which we are saved.
John 14:6: Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:13, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
Acts 4:12:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
We are to repent and make Jesus as the Lord of our life so we can live and be saved in the grace of Jesus. That is why we should end with "...in the name of Jesus Christ" when praying. The above scriptures also teaches that it is by Jesus that we ask of God for anything. So praying without using this is not being Biblical.
Finally, let us come together in prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up S.p. to You. We pray that You will bless them with a job that not only meets their needs but also allows them to be a blessing to others. Help them align their wants with what you want for them, a job that allows their spirit to be healthy and grow in your grace. Guide their steps and open the right doors for them in their career path. We include a return to this same prayer group as a blessing to others. Let them toil not to just make money but for making disciples, teaching others, making God known, and for salvation in others.
Teach them to pray to and ask more of God as without you, nothings possible.
Philippians 4:19: My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
John 15:7: If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
We also pray that You will bless S.p. with a godly spouse, chosen by you, someone who loves You and seeks to honor You in all they do. Give S.p. wisdom and discernment as they navigate relationships, and help them to make choices that align with Your will and not with the guiltless world.
Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and dont lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
