Request To Bring ### Back

Disciple of Prayer
Heavenly Father, most Omnipotent Triune God, I, ###, come before you in a time of great despair. I met this woman who is the sweetest, kindest, and most caring and gentle person I could ever know. Her name is ###. Due to an incident on the bus with another girl that was really only intended for my personal comfort, not only am I now in a legal situation with my life in ruin for the time being, but also, a week later, on Wednesday ###, the worst possible thing happened between me and her: she went no-contact! LORD Jesus Christ, King of Kings and LORD of All, my personal Savior, I fully repent of my wrongdoing. You alone know not only everything I already cried out to you about just now, but also the fact that I want my poor, dear, sweet ### back! I also come mourning to you about all the harm this has done to both of us, seeing as how we are both faithful Roman Catholics and we both have mental health diagnoses that were issued to us at an earlier age. Additionally, you probably know that I want to know whether she has any desire to end no-contact with me or if it's over, either due to her no longer wanting me due to my own recent faults or the fact she may have found someone new. Did her family force this on her or did she choose no-contact on her own? Did she find someone new? Or is she going to come back at a time only You know about? You alone are all-knowing, Father, and I need answers in order to move on, for I love her until the day either I or her pass from this very Earth on which we all live! As my request, I wish to implore you with a question? Are you going to create a way for me and my dear ### to reconcile if it be written in Your Most Holy, Divine Will? If it is not in tune with Your Ways, is there a way that it can be? And if neither of these things can come to pass, can she at least reach out to me and give me closure on whether or not she wants me back? If not, please help me find peace on my own! LORD, You are the Healer of contrite hearts. LORD have mercy! You bring the lost sheep back the fold, for You are the Good Shepherd. Christ, have mercy! Your anger lasts only but a moment, for You are full of mercy and compassion. LORD, have mercy! And at our Savior's command, I dare to say: Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those that have trespassed against us. Lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory are Yours, now and forever. Amen. I lift all these things unto you, for You alone know what is best! May my sorrowful cry to You be heard and answered. Through Him, with Him, and in Him, O God Almighty Father, in the Unity of the Holy Spirit, all Glory and Honor is Yours forever and ever! AMEN.

We are truly sorry to hear about the situation you find yourself in. It's important to remember that God hears your prayers and knows the desires of your heart. However, we need to address several issues in your request to align with biblical principles.

Firstly, it is commendable that you mentioned Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. *“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” 1Timothy 2:5*. Salvation comes through believing in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and confessing Him as Lord. *“But what does it say? 'The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;' that is, the word of faith, which we preach: that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:8-9*

However, we need to clarify that while mental health is indeed a serious issue and praying for one another is essential, the Catholic Church's teachings differ from what the Bible teaches. The Catholic Church venerates Mary and the saints, which is not biblical. *“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” 1Timothy 2:5*. There is no other mediator or intercessor between us and God but Christ Jesus. You don’t pray to Mary or the Saints or even angels. *“Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.” Romans 8:34* This verse clearly states it is Christ who makes intercession for us, not Mary or anyone else. The Bible specifically says not to do this. *“And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward.” Matthew 6:5* The *“hypocrites”* Jesus is talking about here were praying to God, the Father, not Mary or the Saints. The Bible also says, *“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6*. It also says, *“be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. He is 'the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.' There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!” Acts 4:10-12*. If you are believing in anyone else or praying to anyone else, you are not believing in the Jesus Christ of the Bible.

Secondly, and this is the most difficult subject to address, it’s important to clarify that pursuing a romantic relationship with someone outside of marriage can lead to temptations and sin, especially when you’re mourning the loss of mental connection. The Bible is clear about the sanctity of marriage and the importance of fleeing from sexual immorality. *“Now concerning the things about which you wrote to me: it is good for a man not to touch a woman. But because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.” 1Corinthians 7:1-2*

We must also understand that *“the LORD doesn't see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart” 1Samuel 16:7*. Whether or not she will come back to you or if she has moved on is not as important as understanding God’s will for your life. *“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11*.

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up this person who is in deep sorrow and despair. We ask for Your comfort and guidance during this difficult time. Help them to seek Your will above all else, and to trust in Your perfect plan for their life. We pray in Jesus Christ's name.

If she is the one that You have set apart for him, we pray that You would make a way for reconciliation, but only if it aligns with Your holy will. Help them to pursue purity and righteousness, fleeing from any temptation that could lead them away from You. Help him to be patient, not to forsake your assembling together *“not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching” Hebrews 10:25*.

We also pray for her family, that they would seek Your will above all else, and that they would support and encourage her in her faith. We pray for healing and restoration for both of them, that they would find peace and comfort in Your presence.

Help him to keep his eyes fixed on You, Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. *“looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2* Help him to know how much You love him and that You have a good hope and future for his life. *“For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16*

In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.

Dear friend, we're here with you, holding your heart in our prayers. We understand the depth of your sorrow and the longing for resolution. We've been reflecting on your situation and feel led to share a few more thoughts.

Firstly, we're reminded of the power of forgiveness. It's not about minimizing the pain or the wrongdoing, but about releasing the burden of bitterness and resentment. Jesus, in His infinite wisdom, tells us, "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Matthew 6:14-15) We believe that as you forgive, you'll find a sense of peace and healing.

Secondly, we're encouraged by the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32. The father in this story represents God's unfailing love and patience. He waits eagerly for his son's return, ready to welcome him with open arms. This story reminds us that God is always waiting, always hoping for our return, no matter what we've done. We pray that this story brings you hope and comfort.

Lastly, we're reminded of the importance of trust. Trust in God's timing, trust in His love, and trust in His plan for your life. As it says in Lamentations 3:22-23, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Trust that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when it's hard to see.

We lift you up in prayer, dear friend. We ask that God would give you the strength to forgive, the hope to trust, and the peace to endure. We pray that He would reveal His will to you, and that He would comfort you in your sorrow. We pray all this in Jesus' name. Amen.

@Articles the reason I committed the sin in your second paragraph was for platonic purposes. I didn't want a relationship with the other girl, just a sense of emotional comfort.

I still want my former lover to come back into my loving arms if God will permit her to do so, as there is nothing I want more especially since we both thought we were meant for each other (and I hope she still feels the same in spite of going no-contact), except one day to live for all eternity in God's Kingdom above.
