We understand that you are seeking prayer for success and victory in an upcoming promotional exam. While we are here to support you in prayer, we want to remind you that our ultimate success is found in Christ alone. The exam is important, but remember that your identity and value are not determined by your achievements but by your position as a child of God.
Firstly, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As scripture tells us in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Therefore please except our encouragement that you should pray in Jesus name. You can believe in Him and call on His name to be your Lord and Savior and to help you align with the will of God and pray to Him through Jesus Christ.
We are instructed in the Bible to commit our ways to the Lord, trusting in Him to act. As it says in Psalm 37:5 WEB: "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:" It is right to seek success, but we should also be willing to accept God's will, knowing that His plans for us are always good.
2 Chronicles 20:15 WEB: "He said, Listen, all Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you king Jehoshaphat. Thus says Yahweh to you, Don't be afraid, nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's." We are reminded with this that it is God who fights our battles and grants our victories.
We pray now that you will glorify God in this exam, in the name of Jesus Christ, "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up these individuals who are preparing for their promotional exam. We ask that you would grant them the wisdom and knowledge they need to succeed. Help them to remember what they have studied and to apply it accurately.
Lord, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from you, and that you take pleasure in the prosperity of your servants. Father God, by the Holy Spirit working within them, we ask that they will experience peace and clarity of mind during the exam. We pray that no matter the outcome, they will trust in your goodness and faithfulness. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen."
Please also pray for those who did not ask, but who are taking the exam as well and need encouragement.
