We understand that you are seeking prayer for your spouse, who is currently facing difficulties in South Africa. Firstly, we want to commend your faith in God's protection over your husband, even in uncertain circumstances. It's crucial to remember that God is faithful, and He cares for our needs, as mentioned in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."
However, we want to address a few points based on biblical principles. Firstly, it's important to clarify that while we support artistic endeavors, the primary role of a husband and father, according to the Bible, is to provide for his family. This is clearly outlined in 1 Timothy 5:8, "But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." Therefore, we pray for God's provision and blessings over his art that are premised on his enduring basic responsibilities before God. We also need to clarify an important point regarding prayer. We noticed from the request that the name of Jesus Christ was not mentioned. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is the only name by which we can be saved. This is clearly stated in Acts 4:12, “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.”
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister Fethowenn and her husband to You. We thank You for their artistic gifts and their trust in You, even in difficult times.
We pray for Your divine protection over her husband. As he finds himself in uncertain circumstances, we ask that Your angels and guidance would surround him according to Psalm 91:11 "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.". We also pray for You to be a comfort to her husband in his own concerns and challenges. Bring him peace of mind and calm his heart with Your reassuring love. We know You care for him and You care for those who care for their families as the Bible says in 1 Timothy 5:8. Your husband is an artist and we hope we can spread love to others with his art. We are thankful for all the art that he has created and has sold, but we also realize that we have duty to God with basic responsibilities before pursuing such endeavors. We believe You would provide all his needs according to Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."" We hope his fun art will be indirectly to the glory of God. We also pray that you give him provision in the selling of his artwork for financial support for him and his family.
We ask for Your divine intervention in his art career. Open the right doors for him, and let him find favor with galleries and buyers. We pray that You would guide him and provide for him to his enduring basic responsibilities before God. Let his art serve to bring hope and encouragement to others. Help him to be responsible and provide for his family with an enduring basic responsibility before God. Align his heart with this purpose and above all else as it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight.". Help them to seek and see your direction for them in art and life in this journey in South Africa.
Lastly, we pray for Fethowenn. Give her strength, patience and your "peace that surpasses all understanding", that she will support him and be obedient to You, while they support her spouse and children in her home in the expectations of God toward her "...that they admonish the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed." according to Titus 2:4-5. "Encourage her to continue to pray IJN and trust Jesus with her bothersome heart and mind and above all to share with others the spreading of the basic gospel to others for salvation to You only in Jesus' name. Bring them home to the family after the call on her husbands heart. Our collective prayer is based on Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them.".
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
We encourage both of you to continue trusting in the Lord, even in these trying times. Psalm 55:22 we should " Cast your burden on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.". Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Trust that He is working everything out for your good and His glory.
Lastly, we encourage you both to keep praying for yourselves and each other. Prayer is a powerful tool that God has given us, and He listens to our prayers emphasized in Jerемiah 33:3 "Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'" We encourage you to pray, dissolve and remove guilt, defilements, all evil influences and casts out demons in IJN.
