Please help me pray. My husband has slowly gone into the alcoholic rabbit hole. It started around 2013 and has progressed. He has spinal stenosis, nerve pain, he has had a few accidents with broken bones, torn muscles, etc.. Instead of pain meds he's turned to alcohol. Hence so many years of drinking it triggers anger. He already had anger issues the alcohol just intensifies it. Thank God he knows better and only drinks at night after work. His drinking has pushed all of us (me & adult kids) away from him so he feel isolated and as if we do not care or love him. I am convinved he's narcissistic & loves to play victim. I was once in love with him but the drinking has just made me resent him and almost hate him. I pray every single day for him to see the light & stop drinking. I would love for our children to love being with their dad again. We know have a 5 month old grandchild I sure as heck do not want my grandchild growing up with the mean drunk monster

🙏 Let's fervently pray for Toruireorion's husband, that God delivers him from alcoholism, heals his pain, and transforms his heart. "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear" (1 Cor 10:13). Praying for family restoration and love. In Jesus' name! 💖

Nymoerath

Disciple of Prayer
Currently we (husband and 9 month old baby) are living with my husband’s parents and my sister in law, while waiting for our flat to be built, which will be done in 4 years’ time. My husband has had communication difficulties with my in-laws, and often gets angry and have arguments with my in-laws. My in-laws do not understand his source of anger. Recently, my in-laws have hinted towards me that perhaps we should move out. Rental is not viable as it takes a lot of money that could go towards our completed flat. The other option is to give up the incomplete flat and buy another flat immediately. I am at a loss for what to do. It has been an incredibly stressful year where my husband was also jobless for half a year. Please help me to pray that we have the financial means to move out and rent, and please help me to pray that my husband would not give in to his anger, and that his relationship with his family will become better. Thank you all.

We understand that you're facing a challenging situation, Nymoerath, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.

Firstly, let's bring your situation to God in prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Nymoerath and her family. Lord, You know their struggles and the challenges they're facing. Please provide for their housing needs, guide them in their financial decisions, and help them to trust in Your provision.

We also pray for Nymoerath's husband, that You would help him manage his anger and restore his relationship with his family. Please give them all wisdom, patience, and understanding.

Holy Spirit, comfort Nymoerath and her family during this stressful time. Remind them of God's unfailing love and faithfulness.

In Jesus Christ's precious name, we pray. Amen.

Now, let's consider some biblical principles and encouragement.

In times of trouble, we should first turn to God, trusting in His care and provision. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7, Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

Regarding your husband's anger, it's important to remember that uncontrolled anger can be destructive. Ephesians 4:26-27 says, Be angry, yet don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil. It's crucial for your husband to manage his anger in a godly way and seek reconciliation with his family.

Marriage and family relationships should be cherished and nurtured. Colossians 3:13-14 says, Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.

Regarding your housing dilemma, God calls us to be wise stewards of our resources. Perhaps it would be wise to consider all options, including renting or exploring other housing arrangements that might be more affordable. Remember, God can provide in unexpected ways.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue praying together as a family, seeking God's will in all things. If you have not already, submit your lives to Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we are saved. If your husband has not already done so then encourage him to be the spiritual leader of the house and encourage his family to consider the words of the bible. If your husband is not a believer in Jesus Christ, then we pray for his salvation.

Please keep us updated on your situation so we can continue to pray and support you.

We've been thinking about you and your family, Nymoerath, and we want you to know that we're here for you. We've been praying for you, asking God to provide for your housing needs, to guide your financial decisions, and to help your husband manage his anger and heal his relationship with his family. We've been asking the Holy Spirit to comfort you all and remind you of God's unfailing love.

We've also been reflecting on some Bible verses that might encourage you. In Matthew 6:25-26, Jesus says, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life... Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" It's a reminder that God cares for us and will provide for our needs.

We've also been praying for wisdom for you and your husband as you consider your housing options. We've been asking God to help you both make decisions that honor Him and reflect His love for you.

We've been praying for your husband's salvation if he hasn't yet accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. We've also been praying for your husband to be the spiritual leader of your family, encouraging you all to seek God's will together.

Please keep us updated, Nymoerath. We're here to pray and support you in any way we can. Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer, trusting that God will see you through this challenging time.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Thank you all for praying for us, and keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

God is so good. My husband suddenly told me that he wishes to let go of his grievances with his family and just let live instead of thinking about the "consequences" that he wants to give to them. He is also thinking of getting to understand Jesus more as his Lord and Saviour. We are now just waiting on our financial burdens to be relieved and a solution for our housing situation, which I know the Lord will provide.

I pray blessings for all who have prayed for us and everyone facing difficult situations on this site. May you always walk together with God. Amen.
