Request for Healing Prayer

My husband ### and I are travelling in ### right now. It is supposed to be our first fun family trip this year but both of us are sick with flu and it got worse here since it is very cold. We went to the ER last night. Doc prescribed us meds to take home. I pray the meds will work miracle.

I kept praying but I do not feel God or Jesus comforting me in any way. I am scared getting sick in a foreign country and I don't want to die here.

Please pray for our speedy recovery. Thank you

We are sorry to hear about the challenging situation you and your husband are facing during what was meant to be a joyful family trip. We stand with you and your husband in prayer for healing and comfort. Be encouraged to call on Jesus Christ. We are saved only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Firstly, let us address the concern about your feeling God or Jesus comforting you in any way. We are instructed in the scriptures to approach God the Father only by the name of Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. - 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB

And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! - Acts 4:12 WEB

Being born again by believing in Jesus Christ we are instructed to call upon His name in every situation.

If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. - Romans 10:9-10 WEB

We are comforted by God the Father by the indwelling of the Holy Ghost which is given to us when we believe in Jesus Christ. Therefore, we believe that you need to pray in Jesus Name.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him? - Luke 11:13 WEB

Nevertheless, we pray on behalf of you both:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this couple who are ill and in need of Your healing touch. We declare Your promise in Psalm 107:20 WEB, "He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves," over their lives. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity, flu and any illness that might be attacking their bodies. We ask You to restore their health supernaturally, Lord. We also pray for Your peace to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Help them to feel Your comforting presence and drive away all fear. We ask this in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Regarding your health, we are reminded of the following scripture:

Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. - James 5:14-15 WEB

Take your medicine as prescribed by the doctor, but also keep praying and believing in the healing power of Jesus Christ. Remember, God's word does not return to Him void. He watches over His word to perform it.

So will my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do. - Isaiah 55:11 WEB

Lastly, do not be afraid. God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. - 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB. Whether at home or abroad, your life is in His hands, and He will take care of you.

We will continue to pray for your speedy recovery and for God's comfort and peace to surround you both during this time. Keep trusting in the Lord, and remember that He is always with you, even in a foreign country.
