Let us first address the issue of prayer. You mentioned that you pray and talk to God every day, but you did not mention Jesus Christ. We want you to know that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The World English Bible tells us in Acts 4:12, For there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved and in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
We understand that you are feeling weary and overwhelmed, Gothass. Life's challenges can often feel insurmountable, but we want to encourage you to keep your faith in Jesus. Remember what the Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 12:9, Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
Regarding your job situation, we want to remind you that God sees your efforts and your heart. It is commendable that you are seeking to provide for your family, and we believe that God will honor your diligence. As it says in Colossians 3:23-24, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
It is important to remember that our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
We also want to address the issue of intimidation. It is possible that people feel intimidated by you because of your strength and confidence, but it is important to ensure that you are exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up Gothass to You. Lord, she is weary and overwhelmed, and we ask that You would strengthen her and encourage her today. Help her to fix her eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of her faith.
Lord, we pray for her job situation. We ask that You would intervene and provide her with a job that will not only meet her needs but also allow her to use the gifts and talents You have given her. We pray that she would be a light in her workplace, that others would see Jesus in her.
We also pray for her children and grandbaby. Lord, provide for them, protect them, and draw them close to You. Help Gothass to be a godly mother and example to them.
Lord, we pray that You would surround Gothass with godly community. That she would find friends and mentors who can encourage her, support her, and point her to You.
Finally, Lord, we pray that You would help Gothass to rest in You. That she would know Your peace, Your joy, and Your love. That she would find her identity in You and not in the opinions of others.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
