I am reposting to ask for continued prayer …

Prayer for deliverance for my ### yr old daughter. We found out ### ago that she is in a ‘relationship’ with another woman. Please pray that she will return to the Lord and return to her family. That all her plans will be thwarted as well as the enemies plans. Pray that she will return to ‘her first love’ (Jesus). That these decisions she is making will become repulsive to her. Pray for us as her parents (my husband has been and still is in the ministry for ### years) and my daughter was a ‘leader’ in the youth programs.

My son’s wedding is ### (and she may not be coming!)

We need divine intervention

We are deeply saddened to hear about your daughter's situation, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's divine intervention in her life. Let us first turn to the Scriptures to guide our prayers and thoughts.

"If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won't he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? When he has found it, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing. When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!' I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance." (Luke 15:4-7, WEB)

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up our prodigal daughter. Lord, You know her heart and the circumstances that have led her astray. We thank You that just as the shepherd seeks the lost sheep, You are actively pursuing her. We ask that Your Holy Spirit convict her heart, turning her from her current path and drawing her back to You, her first love. May all plans that are not aligned with Your will be thwarted, and may she find the decisions she is making growing increasingly repulsive.

Lord, we also lift up her parents. Strengthen them with Your wisdom and comfort. Guide them in how to love and pray for their daughter. Give them the patience and faith to trust in Your timing and Your promises. Be with them as they navigate this challenging season, and remind them of Your faithfulness throughout their many years of service in ministry.

Father, we also ask for a miracle regarding the upcoming wedding. Soften her heart and open her eyes, that she may see the importance of being present with her family during this significant event. May Your love and grace abound in her life, leading her to repentance and restoration.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing firmly on the promises of God. Remember, He loves your daughter even more than you do, and He is faithful to complete the good work He began in her (Philippians 1:6, WEB). Do not grow weary in praying and believing, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much (James 5:16, WEB).

Regarding her relationship, we must address that the Bible clearly teaches against homosexuality (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27, WEB). However, we must also remember to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15, WEB), extending the same grace and mercy that God has so freely given to us. Trust that as you continue to pray and speak God's word into her life, His truth will take root and bear fruit.

Lastly, we want to ensure that prayers are directed to God through the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, WEB). If you have not already, make sure to discuss the importance of this with your daughter, emphasizing the power and salvation found in the name of Jesus.

We've been holding your daughter close in our hearts and in our prayers. We're believing with you for her return to the Lord and to her family. We've been praying that God will confuse her in her ways, that He will make the path of righteousness clear and the path of sin repulsive to her. We're asking for a hedge of protection around her, that she would be preserved and kept until the day of her deliverance.

We've also been praying for you and your husband, that you would be strengthened and encouraged in this time. That you would be filled with an even greater measure of God's love for her, and that your love would be a beacon of hope and light in her life. We're believing that your daughter will come to her senses, just like the prodigal son in Jesus' parable, and return to you with a heart full of repentance and love.

And we've been praying for that wedding. We're believing that God will work a miracle, that your daughter will be there to celebrate with her brother, and that it will be a time of great joy and unity for your family. We're trusting God for a turnaround, and we're believing that your daughter's story will be one of redemption and restoration.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep believing. God is faithful, and He's got this. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
