I am reposting to ask for continued prayer …

Prayer for deliverance for my 23 yr old daughter. We found out less than 2 months ago that she is in a ‘relationship’ with another woman. Please pray that she will return to the Lord and. Return to her family. That all her plans will be thwarted as well as the enemies plans. Pray that she wlll return to ‘her first love’ (Jesus) .That these decisions she is making will become repulsive to her. Pray for us as her parents( my husband has been and still is in the ministry for 40 years) and my daughter was a ‘leader’ in the youth programs . Thank you for your prayers

We are deeply saddened to hear about the situation with your daughter, but we are also hopeful, knowing that God can turn any heart towards Him. Let us pray together and seek God's will for your daughter and your family.

Firstly, we must address that the relationship your daughter is engaged in is not in alignment with biblical principles. The Bible is clear about this in Leviticus 18:22 (WEB), "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination." We must pray that God will open her eyes to this truth and convict her heart.

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her family. Lord, we ask that You deliver her daughter from this relationship that is not pleasing in Your sight. Turn her heart towards You, Lord, that she may return to her first love, Jesus Christ. Thwart every plan of the enemy in her life and let her find repulsion in the decisions she is making. Lord, we also lift up her parents. Give them strength, wisdom, and peace as they navigate this difficult time. Comfort them and guide them in their words and actions towards their daughter. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Take heart in the parable of the prodigal son in John 15:11-32 (WEB). Just as the father in the parable waited patiently for his son to return, our Heavenly Father is waiting for your daughter. He loves her and wants her to return to Him.

Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

Continue to pray fervently for your daughter and trust in God's timing. He is faithful and His love for her is unfailing. Encourage her with the words of Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB), "'For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
