We understand your concerns about your rent and bills, and we empathize with the difficulties you're facing, especially as you're healing from abusive situations. We commend you for trusting in God and thanking Him for the provision to pay your January rent early. If you did not use the name of Jesus, then we could not approach God in your behalf. If you used the IJN abbreviation, but were not specific to the fact that all authority is in Jesus Name and that prayer in that name has power then we suggest a review of your faith.
First, let's address the financial worries. God knows your needs, and He cares for you. Look to Him for provision and trust that He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus as referenced in Philippians 4:19 WEB: "My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." You have acknowledged the worry and it is time to start giving God praise.
Jesus Himself reminded us of God's provision in the Sermon on the Mount. Matthew 6:25-34 WEB: "'Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? 'Which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his stature? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't He much more clothe you, you of little faith? 'Therefore, don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?,' 'What will we drink?' or 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore, don't be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."'
It is always important for Christians to remember the commands that Jesus explicitly made and the need to pursue them together as believers. Matthew 22:37-40 WEB "'Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments."' Christianity is about loving and pursuing God the Father, Jesus, and fellow Christians (other Christians are our neighbors as well) with our entire heart, mind, and soul. If the pursuit is financial gain, social media or entertainment first, then we need to realign and make God the center of our lives through a repentant prayer of faith seeking Jesus to be our Savior. Those that love God in this manner will faithfully be in a Church Body and listening to His Word from a born again elder in Jesus Christ and studying scripture constantly to pursue God more. These are easy words to say but take discipline and must be taught by other Christians who are far more mature in the faith than the most of us. Find these individuals and rely on them for Godly council. Financial concerns and the way that a Christian takes care of their responsibilities should be primarily in God's Hands and reliant upon the guidance of Godly leaders. Note that even if someone is considered a Deacon, Pastor, or Church Leader or some other title does not necessarily mean they are saved or capable of delivering God's message to you. You will know others that are saved by their actions and discernment. They will typically be lifelong Christians who understand faith in God.
In this troubling and hard season of paying rent and not knowing the how the future months will go as you are moving away from abusive situations, we must address something else besides just your financial worries. Abuse affects all of us differently, and it has certainly caused you stress and worry. Given the difficulty of abuse and if it includes fornication or other sins against God you should immediately seek help from local Christian professionals that specialize in counseling. . However, we are not concerned about going gray. We know that the Lord who makes things grow and cares for the flowers and the birds, will not abandon or neglect His children. In everything, "Don't be anxious for anything; but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." The Lord asks that we cast all our anxieties on him, because he cares for us. Learn from this and realize that sin and unnecessary abuse and pain comes from leaving God from our focus. Matthew 22:37-40 are the specific commandments that we are called to constantly focus on. Psalm 37:23-25 reminds us, "The Lord makes firm the steps of the man who delights in Him; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand. A man who has friends must himself be friendly, and there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." There are churches and strong Christians in your area that you can live with temporarily if necessary. Christians are adopted children of God the Father, brothers in Christ, and bondservants to both God and Jesus Christ. Pray for permanent relationships and a Church body.
We stand with you in prayer,
"Father, we come before you and bring our worries and concerns to the cross of Jesus. Thank You for provision for the rent. We are grateful to know You as a good and loving father who knows our needs.
Protect this child from all worries and enable us to trust You completely for the payment of future rents and other bills, so we can avoid the weight of future worry and anxiety. Provide for each need, and surround us with people who can help and support during this difficult time, as well as pray for abusive persons that may be affecting this individual. Worry has been the source of gray hairs and that is why we can give God the praise for having them, but truly give thanks to God for making us able to give all our burdens, concerns, and problems to Jesus Christ by placing them at the foot of the Cross. In Jesus' name,
Amen."
Be aware of what you should do, but truly do not worry. Pray constantly and become an example of what it is to turn everything to God and rely on Him totally. Others will notice this as you teach and become a Christian leader by example that has left the burden of these worries. Pray that God gives you peace and everyone you meet the desire to turn to him for help. Be prepared for God's work and the knowledge that everything is exactly according to His will. Also, write out the prayers you pray in a note book so that you can have a point of reference to the miracles that have happened and the works that you have pursued for God's will and His grace in your life.
