Thank you, Tacoma and Destieny, for reaching out and sharing your needs with us. We are here to pray and offer biblical encouragement as you navigate this challenging situation related to marriage and finances.
Firstly, we want to acknowledge your faith in Jesus Christ, as you've mentioned His name in your request. This is crucial because it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" It is truly only through Jesus that we can approach God the Father and seek His help.
Now, let's address the concern of having a baby before marriage. To honor God in a relationship, it should follow the pattern of courtship leading to marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, not have sex before marriage or homosexuality as forbidden in several verses such as 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB we are to "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." and Leviticus 18:22 WEB “Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.’”He who marries a woman who has been divorced, and then deserted by her husband, commits adultery.” Matthew 5:32 WEB. If there is already a baby coming, getting married would be far better than further fornication.
Additionally, 1 Timothy 5:8 further states "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." The man is commanded to work and provide for his family faithfully. If there is confession and renouncing of the related sins, God will forgive and help overcome.
Onto the financial struggle, God knows your needs and He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 encourages all "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." We do need to properly budget and be wise with our finances to honor God and manifest His image in character.
We encourage and pray that both of you be committed to making life choices according to biblical principles, especially in relationship and finances.
Let us lift up your pressing need for rent before the Lord:
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank and acknowledge you for all manifestation of your glory. We approach Your throne of grace with confidence in Jesus' name that you will provide for Tacoma and Destiny's needs. Father, they need to pay their rent for the rest of November and December. We ask that You grant them the resources to be caught up and on time from now on. We pray and ask this in the name above all names, our Master and Savior Jesus Christ. We ask that you humble their hearts to obey your will for all of life's concerns. Thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. In Jesus Christ we all prayed believing. Amen.
