We understand that you are experiencing distress due to invasive thoughts about your former manager. Firstly, we need to address that we do not have power or authority over others. It is only God who can intervene in their life. We can only pray for them.
We must remember to pray for those who are against us, for those who persecute us, which means to chase us down or attack us, we are to pray for them. We must not let bitterness take root in us but have love and compassion for them. We must be faithful and diligent to ask God for our requests in Jesus name. Ephesians 6:18 WEB says, "with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints."
Bitterness and unforgiveness will keep us in bondage and will not be healthy for us. In Ephesians 4: 29-32: Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Romans 13:1-3 WEB tells us, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment. For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same,".
In Romans 12:14 we are instructed to bless those who persecute us, do not curse them. Do not repay evil for evil and those who persecute and bully you, you will heap burning coals on their head. If it is possible as much as you can do it, you are to live in peace with everyone. Do not seek revenge but leave room for God's wrath and judgment.
If you are having thoughts of being attacked and attacked by demons and contending with the devil, it causes us to wonder if you have experienced salvation. We are to resist the devil in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
We are to put on the armor of God to stand against the devil in Ephesians 6:12-18, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints:"
Since you did not mention Jesus, we want to remind you that Jesus is the only way to God. Further explained in John 3:16-18, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God."
Let us pray together in the name of Jesus.
Father God,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this situation. We pray for the former manager and ask for God to bless him in the name of Jesus. Please help him in understanding that revenge and repetitive assailing is not the way to solve issues concerning his former subordinate. Give him a new understanding Jesus. We ask that You help them to work through their emotions. We rebuke any demon and the devil only in the name of Jesus Christ, ordering it to cease in their attacks. Give them a true awareness of Jesus Christ and the opportunity to accept Jesus as their personal Savior.
God, we also pray for the one requesting prayer, asking that You fill their heart with Your peace and love. Help them to forgive and release any bitterness or resentment they may be holding onto. When they feel like someone is attacking them supernaturally. In Jesus name they should rebuke demons and the devil. Give them the strength and wisdom to move forward, trusting in Your plan for their life and the life of others around them.
In Jesus' name we pray.
Let us pray for discernment and understanding. Let us pray to contend for our brother and his old manager. Let us pray for salvation and acceptance of Jesus for both of them.
