We are truly saddened to hear about the difficulties you are facing in your relationship, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. Firstly, we want to address the fact that your message does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father and there is no other name given under heaven by which we are saved. Acts 4:12 states, Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved.
However, we must also address some biblical principles related to your request. The Bible is clear that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) and that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman (Matthew 19:4-6). We also want to mention the importance of the wording used. The term partner is not a biblical term while marriage or spouse is encouraged and used throughout the bible. It is also concerning that you and your partner are living in different countries and that there is another woman involved. It is important to address the sin of adultery, as it is a clear violation of God's commandments (Exodus 20:14).
First, we encourage you to examine your own relationship with God and ensure that you are in right standing with Him. 1 John 1:9 says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We also encourage you to pray for your spouse, not just for the removal of the other woman, but for his repentance. 1 Corinthians 7:3-5 clearly outlines the marriage and family relationship, do not deprive each other of your husband or wife except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. This clearly shows that a spouse or couple together by mutual consent can agree to be apart, but it is only by fasting and prayer. This is not the case in this situation.
Here is our heartfelt prayer for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in need. Lord, we pray for her spouse, that You would convict his heart and draw him back to You. We pray that You would reveal to him the sin in his life and bring him to true repentance. Lord, we also pray for our sister, that You would give her strength and peace during this difficult time.
Ephesians 1:17 says, That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;
Lord we pray that you would give her the spirit of wisdom and revelation as Paul prayed for in Ephesians 1:17.
Help her to trust in You and to rest in Your promises. Lord, we pray for their marriage, that You would heal and restore it, that it would be a testament to Your faithfulness and grace.
Lord, we pray that you would convict their hearts a draw them both to yourself in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church community. They can provide you with practical help and spiritual guidance during this time. Remember, God is faithful and He cares for you deeply. Trust in Him and His promises for you.
We pray that you experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, and will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
