We understand that you're facing a challenging situation at home, Camara, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we commend you for approaching God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And the scripture reminds us, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus . So your prayers should always be offered by faith in his name. There is no other name by which we can be saved. And we have been commanded and instructed for whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. You may already be aware, but it is the power of Christ, through faith in his work on the cross, which allowed us to have access through him to the Father. You must also believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, God's son, was resurrected from the dead, conquering sin and death. For Jesus is our advocate. Since Jesus has saved you from the consequences of your sin, he will also be your advocate with God to save you from Ronald's exploiting and manipulative behavior.
Let's address the issues you're facing. You mentioned that Ronald is harassing you, causing confusion, and displaying wickedness. He provokes you and has a bullying behavior and an alcohol addiction. This behavior is clearly against biblical principles. In Ephesians 5:18 WEB it says, Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit. This is a reminder that alcohol abuse and bullying behavior can be destructive. And 1 Peter 5:10 explains, But may the God of all grace, who called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
We pray that Ronald would repent, which means to admit, turn and forsake his sins, and be saved from his sins. He should seek refuge in Christ, the deliverer, to receive the blessings of the faithful. If Ronald decides to change by faith in God, then he shall join the ranks of the righteous. He must turn away from his wicked ways. However, True peace and unity are found in righteousness in Jesus Christ alone. Then we will be able to agree with each other and live in peace. As suffering leads to perseverance, perseverance to godly character, and godly character to genuine hope. We must not be ashamed therefore to testify of our Lord. Let's also remember Christ's own word in John 5:24 where Jesus says, Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. And as Jesus Christ also commands in Matthew 22:39 WEB Love your neighbor as yourself. Therefore, we should also pray for Ronald's change of heart and salvation. You must forget the things that have happened in the past, but look for the things that are happening now and the things that will come.
With that in mind, pray with God to find out God's will in having Ronald leave your home. If he does not turn from his wicked ways and seek to live in harmony with God's laws, he then must leave. It is permissible to restrict those who are exploiting and manipulative. As given to us in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-15 where the apostle Paul reccomends in dealing with the one who refuses to comply with the apostle's commands and behavior to not keep company with him or her and that this would include not eating together. The purpose of this is to warn him or her as a fellow Christian believer, to be ashamed of what he or she does, and to not consider him or her as an enemy, but an admonished brother or sister.
It is permissible to separate from anybody who still habitually lives in a sinful lifestyle to provoke them to live in a way that honors the Lord as Christians. You may recall Jesus' own words about the need to turn away from his harmful ways when he said in Mathew 5:29-30 If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. So as we can see, separation may be necessary to facilitate the turning from sin to righteousness. And moreover, 1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB reminds to not be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals. Also in Psalm 1:1 WEB Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers. But we must always realize that the separation is not a permanent separation, which is probably not possible on the earth, and not even to be preferred. Yes, it is permissible to live in separate places. We just have to be aware of the desires of other people who may put us in difficult positions. And we need to be alert to the level of persecution we are allowed to endure before the separation is required. It may the Lord's will for us to have to live separately and the Lord's will for the person to leave the household.
It is also permissible to contact the authorities such as the police or the courts when faced with danger or even the garden variety depraved man or woman as long as it is not solely to seek revenge, an act we are forbidden to participate in as Romans 12:19 WEB reminds us. Dearly beloved, don't avenge yourselves, but give place to God's wrath, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. But we are permitted to seek many different remedies to relieve our suffering which may include separation from the individuals. But if a Christian believer follows other believers then we need to remember that separation is not an option since the followers are not habitually sinful but instead habitually righteous.
It is also permissible if needed to find a way for the trouble causer to be arrested. The Lord commands you to hand the offender over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. And this even applies to the sexual immorality of a Christian. 1 Corinthians 5:1, 4-5 WEB It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles, that one has his fathers wife. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. And as we have previously discussed the Lord's commands are clear to not even eat with the disobedient believer. We must do everything we can to help the other troubled Christian. And after the troublemaker is restored then that person must be forgiven as required in 2 Corinthians 2:6-7 WEB Sufficient for such a one is this punishment which was inflicted by the many; so that contrariwise you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his overmuch sorrow. This is for the beginners, who for fear of death are all their lifetime subject to bondage but for us who are followers of Jesus we seek instead to not go to the authorities to request their earthly punishment. Instead we forgive as Jesus explains in Mathew 18:21-22 Then Peter came and said to him, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times? Jesus said to him, I don't tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.
We pray for God's guidance as you decide what boundaries to set in your home to bring peace, and for Ronald. You should also seek a role of separation from your earthly enemy as Jesus instructs in Mathew 5:44 WEB where he says, love Jesus says, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. We are instructed in Colossians 3:13 WEB to bear with each other, and forgive each other. If any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. And we all know from the Lord's prayer that Jesus instructed us to pray to forgive as we ourselves have been forgiven. As Luke 6:35-36 WEB explains, But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil. Be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful. But again we are reminded of Jesus' own words in Mathew 7:6 WEB Give those in the Holy Spirit and in the Holy Church no that which is holy to the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. The dogs and pigs are the people who can not or will not forgive us. Jesus affirms our need for separation from those who exploit and manipulate as they are to be left as dogs and pigs and pagans. The purpose of which is so we do not get harmed for having our giving to the ungrateful trampled under foot and the purpose of which is so we do not suffer from having our valuables destroyed. Jesus insists that we separate from the manipulative and exploiting people with the purpose of self preservation. The separation should occur so we do not (1) suffer from being trampled, or to (2) suffer from being torn to pieces, or to (3) suffer from being exploited, or to (4) suffer from being manipulated. If you the Christian believer choose not to separate from the exploiting and manipulative person who you should forgive then you may be permitted to deviate as indicated in Luke 6:35 from the guidelines of Christian belief in order to avoid personal harm during the loving person's separation. However, this response is narrowly tailored to the situation where the believer does not immediately seek to separate from the exploiting and manipulative person but rather to attempt to live one's in a manner that avoids personal harm during the person's separation through deviation from God's commandments. Pray to the Father with the power of the Lord that we can recognize God's will even if it does not follow the believer's desire for immediate separation. And keep firm in your belief that forgiving is required to maintain your salvation in Jesus Christ. We are able to persevere only through God's grace, and our faith gets strengthened in the process.
Let's pray together: Father God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Camara and her household. We pray for your peace to reign in her home. We pray Jesus would comfort and strengthen Camara, and help her to respond to Ronald's harassment with your love and wisdom. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of confusion, bitterness, and wickedness operating in Ronald's life. We pray for his deliverance from alcohol addiction and bullying behavior. We ask that you would soften his heart and bring repentance and salvation to him. We pray for the salvation and well being of Ronald for the safety and well being of Camara, and for your love and guidance and for your will in your response. God help us to do your will in history. This is the time for forgiveness of the difference through our Lord God Jesus Christ. Loving and caring for one and loving and caring for all is what is also asked. In Jesus Christ name, we pray. Amen.
May the Lord guide you, may you know that they are there by the power of the Holy Spirit, and sense their presence eternally throughtout. May they be there to protect and guide you and may they protect and guide us all in these uncertain times and in these times of suffering, and may the Lord bring a revelation to your household. God bring a divine revelation to you and everyone else. Be strong in the faith and may everyone else and Ronald believe in Jesus as their savior. Be blessed in the knowledge for Jesus that the Lord has for us. Jesus is the truth, the way, and the light which no man can come to the Father except through him. God be with you always until the end of time.
