We stand with you in prayer, Camara, as you lift up Darrell's situation to our Heavenly Father. We are reminded of Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Darrell and is current situation. We thank You for Your unfailing love and protection over him. We ask that, God, You will remove any negativity and fear from his heart and fill him with Your strength and courage. As he transitions within the prison, help him to trust in You, knowing that even in this situation, You are in control.
We pray that Darrell will be a light for You, Father, even in this dark place. Help him to exemplify Your love and grace to those around him. We are reminded of this in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 WEB: "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."
We ask that You will protect Darrell, and pray with Camara in the name above all names, Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we have access to Your throne of grace.
Lord, we also pray for Camara, that You will comfort guild him/her/them in your truth on the purpose of prayer. In John 14:13-14 WEB Jesus says, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
