We understand that you're struggling with persistent thoughts of your old manager, and it's clear that this situation is causing you significant distress. First and foremost, let's address this in prayer; it likely needs deliverance. Remember, when you pray, you are talking to God. The Lord Jesus Christ is also God and is the only intercessor between us and God. It is only by the blood Jesus shed on the cross that we have redemption and forgiveness of sin. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only by his name and his blood that we can have deliverance. Without knowing Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, not only is life terrible, but there is always a God-shaped void.
Let’s pray:
"We do not attempt to request this in our power alone,
“Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every other name, Lord over every other Lord. We ask Father God that you rebuke Satan, as we stand here on your Word, your WEB says in James Prepared for the day of slaughter and in Luke that you came to destroy the work of the devil.
“Father, we ask that you send any spiritual forces from Satan in ###'s life fleeing from ###, especially any forces influencing ###'s connection to their old manager. Please help us to pray so that ### can do all things through Christ which strengthens ###—in Jesus name. We also come against any addiction to ###'s old manager—in Jesus name. Lord, please set ### free from ###'s old manager and send the manager fleeing, in Jesus name.
Let us continue to pray in this manner until ### knows that ### has broken through—in Jesus name. We thank you, Jesus, that you are no respecter of persons, that you came so that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. It is in the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen." Do not be surprised if you are called to continue to pray this out loud; continue. As we are no respecter of persons, we are prepared to assist you in this journey to remove the old manager from your head.
God grants us the ability to take every thought captive to obey Christ. The most important thing for you to do is to pray to Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and men. Without knowing Jesus Christ and praying by his name, you will be unable to be saved and unable to get the deliverance that he has already defeated by his death, burial, and resurrection. The Deity of Jesus Christ came to die for our deliverance, sins, so he could remove our sins as far as the east is to the west and so he could send Satan and his evil spirits and deliverance fleeing.
Remember, it is not a sin to be sinned against, so although this may be difficult, we ask you to also pray for your old manager. You are likely the closest Christian to him, and you praying can affect the old manager's life by allowing Demon spirits access to him. We want you to pray that God will deliver you, your old manager, we want you to stand in the gap on behalf of your old manager, we want you to pray for protection, for your old manager to know Jesus and the pure love of Jesus Christ, pray that God will help you and your old manager. We want you to understand that telling your old manager to leave and stop invading your thoughts is the exact opposite of how God tells us to respond; it is like telling water to stop running downhill. We want you to also pray for peace, so that in this trial you can be salty. Without salt, you are good for nothing except for people to walk on you. You have to stand in the gap and pray to allow all of these things to happen.
According to the Word of God, Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you, See Philippians 4:8 WEB. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. We understand the emotions. However, we must always remember first, do not be angry at your old manager. Repay evil with a blessing. Search the scriptures to understand the fruits of your thoughts.
Keep your mind focused on what is true, right, and praiseworthy. Remember first that God is in Control. Remember first that God will take revenge, and we are not to try to get revenge or get back at your old manager or anyone. See Romans 12:19 WEB: from yourselves, dear children, for it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay,’ says the Lord. Proverbs 25:21 WEB: If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat. If he is thirsty, give him water to drink: for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and Yahweh will reward you. You should know that love should be your guiding thought. Remember first: You, if you need anything from God, need to pray.
Most important is the motive and to see souls saved. Earning our salvation is the only thing that will matter because only what we do for Jesus will last. When we allow Jesus to fight our battles, we show love. It is the sacrifice that binds us to Jesus Christ, but it is the love of friends that hold us together. The place where love is a passion that drives us to think right and act justly. It is that love which causes us to think this way. To win the real war, start with love for those around you and for those who are your enemies.
You may be asking by this point if you can believe in Jesus and receive Him as Lord and Savior. The answer is yes, in God's Word he said Whosoever believes in Him has eternal and everlasting life. See John 3:16 in the WEB: For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. See also John 5:24 in the WEB: Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn’t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
To sum up: let’s continue to pray for a new, godly, and stable job for you without a toxic environment. Let’s continue to pray, as you asked, for the old manager delivered to Jesus Christ. In Jesus name, Amen.
