We are truly saddened to hear about the bitterness and hatred that has taken root in your husband's heart. It is important to remember that God calls us to love and forgive others, just as He has forgiven us. As it is written in Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Let us pray together for your husband's heart to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother in Christ who is struggling with bitterness and hatred towards others. We pray that You would soften his heart and open his eyes to see the good in people, just as You see the good in each of us. Help him to forgive those who have wronged him, just as You have forgiven us through the sacrifice of Your son, Jesus Christ.
Lord, we also pray that You would help him to let go of the petty things that do not matter and to accept the things he cannot change. Help him to focus on his own life and to draw closer to You. Give him a pure and clean heart, that he may serve You with a willing and obedient spirit.
We also pray that Your love would flow through his wife, that she may be a source of encouragement and support to him during this time. Help her to speak words of wisdom and grace to him, that he may be receptive to Your truth.
In Jesus' name, we pray for a hedge of protection around their marriage, that it would be strengthened and renewed through this trial. Help them to cling to one another and to You, that they may emerge from this struggle more in love and united than ever before.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear sister, that God is at work in your husband's life, even in the midst of this struggle. Continue to pray for him and to speak words of love and truth to him. Trust that God is able to transform even the hardest of hearts and that He is faithful to complete the good work that He has begun in each of us.
As it is written in Philippians 1:6 WEB, "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
Remember, also, that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. If we are not approaching God through the name of Jesus, then we are not approaching God at all. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Therefore, let us continue to pray in the name of Jesus, trusting that He is our only way to the Father and our only source of salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
