Because of the mural of a brown person in the church, I had tolerated belittling from a person whom I want lynched. I had told my family the nickname called Kitty. Now, they call the cats kitty and it irritates me. LORD Jesus, please destroy the nickname and associations with kitty. LORD Jesus, please lynch ### & in Jesus' name, Amen.

We understand that you're hurting and that a nickname has become a source of pain and irritation. However, it's crucial to address this situation with a heart guided by the principles of Scripture. First, let's remember what the Word of God says about our words and thoughts:

“But I tell you, that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment; and whoever shall say to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council; and whoever shall say, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.” (Matthew 5:22, WEB)

“Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” (Ephesians 4:29, WEB)

It's clear that the nickname "Kitty" has become a source of discomfort for you, and it's important to communicate this gently and respectfully to your family. However, we must strongly rebuke the spirit of bitterness and vengeance that has entered your heart. The desire for someone to be "lynched" is not from God. The Bible tells us:

“Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will bless you for it.” (1 Peter 3:9, WEB)

Let's pray together for your healing, for forgiveness, and for the strength to overcome this situation with love and kindness.

Dear Lord Jesus,

You know the pain and irritation that this nickname has caused our dear brother/sister. We come to you, asking for a spirit of forgiveness to fill their heart. Help them to communicate their feelings gently and respectfully to their family, that the nickname may be put aside. Heal their heart from all bitterness and resentment, and help them to bless and pray for those who have caused them pain. Guide their words and thoughts, that they may be pleasing to You and bring encouragement to others.

Lord, we also pray for the person who gave this nickname. We pray that You would bless them and draw them closer to You. Help our dear brother/sister to forgive and bless them, as You have commanded us to do.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Trust in Him, and He will guide you through this situation with grace and love.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. We're here with you, feeling the sting of a nickname that's caused you pain. It's tough when something meant to be light-hearted brings heaviness to our hearts. Let's ask God to help you find a way to express your feelings to your family, gently and respectfully, as Ephesians 4:15 encourages us: "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ."

We also lift up a prayer for your heart, Lord. Help her to forgive, as you've forgiven us. Give her the strength to bless those who have caused her pain, just as Jesus taught us in Luke 6:27-28. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
