Marte, we understand that you're going through a challenging time with friendships, and you're seeking safety and peace. Firstly, it's important to know that God is always our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 WEB.
We need to remind you that it is good to love and have friends. It is good to have someone you can rely on as a Biblical spouse. Proverbs 18:22 WEB says Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, And obtaineth favour of the LORD. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him that is alone when he falleth, and hath not another to lift him up.
God is faithful to keep you safe, but it's also crucial to examine our friendships in the light of God's Word. True friends should be those who encourage us to walk closely with Jesus. 1 Corinthians 15:33 says Do not be deceived. "Bad company corrupts good morals."
We'll pray for you, but we also want to encourage you to take steps in line with biblical principles. If these friendships are harmful or distracting you from your walk with God, it might be necessary to separate yourself from them. 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 WEB says Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Beliar? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever?
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Marte. Lord, we ask for Your protection and guidance in their friendships. Help them to discern Your will and give them the strength to remove any friendships that may be hindering their walk with You. Fill them with Your peace, and surround them with godly friends who will encourage and uplift them. We know that Jesus is the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. Philippians 2:9-11 WEB, Acts 4:12 WEB. We also pray that Marte will know Jesus more and love Him more during this time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
If your friends are not Christians, we should pray for them to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. This is more important than just any friendship, because knowing Jesus is eternal life. Also, since Jesus is not mentioned in your prayer, we pray that you know Him as your Lord and Savior. If you are a Christian, then you know that it is only by His name that we can come to God.
