Remember Your Victories

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE

"Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph…"

(II Corinthians 2:14, NKJ).

When you think about your past, what events do you remember? What memories do you allow to play over and over in your mind? In the Old Testament, they had what they called memorial stones. These were used to remind the people about the good things God did in their lives. We need to remind ourselves today to focus on our victories. Sure, we´ve all had setbacks, but when you meditate on your disappointments and failures, it only drains you of valuable energy. It steals your confidence and joy. But when you focus on your victories, it builds your strength and confidence. It feeds your faith. It gives you a reason to give God praise. Praise catches God´s attention. He inhabits the praises of His people. And when God shows up on the scene, every enemy must flee!

I encourage you to get into the habit of focusing on your victories. Remember, every good and perfect gift comes from Him. As you praise and thank Him for His favor and victory in your life, He´ll open up supernatural doors for you to move forward into the abundant life He has for you!

Heavenly Father I love you and thank you for all the blessings and victories you have given me throughout the years. You are The Alpha and Omega, You are Our Sovereign Lord. Jesus In You I have hope, In You I have faith. In You all things are possible.

Although my life is stromy and confusing right now I know that "this too shall pass." I know that you are the weatherman in my life and will see me safely through and I thank you for this. In your most wonderful name Jesus Christ. Amen.

Father, I praise You for the encouraging words of these saints who have and are suffering now and yet are able to praise You in the midst of it! Only Your Holy Spirit can enable us to get to that place of confidence in You and trust in our loving Abba Father, in Your presence and power, even when our eyes cannot see it and our emotions cannot sense it. We know, because we believe the Truth of Your Word and have in the past seen and felt the victories, one piled on top of another, creating a great monument of faith that You will see us through the present crisis, and bring us out on the other end, with yet another stone to place on the monument, a remembrance of Your greatness.

Personally I thank You for the amazing victories in my life and especially very recently during this past week. It's been a time when You lifted me and carried me over over a pit that threatened to swallow me. A pit I dug myself, I have to add! Like the prodigal son, I return in humility and am consumed with gratitude at Your amazing grace and mercy shown to me, at the open arms I've felt holding me and strengthening me. To God be the glory!

Lord, I praise You for all the victories I have seen in my life and all the victories to come. Thank You Lord Jesus for what You have accomplished for me, because it is thanks to the price You paid for me that there is a way from the desert to the promised land! Amen
